Project Runway (season 8)

any one know the name of the Garnier Hair stylist? With the beard/goatee? He looks very familiar. Thanks

I cannot stand these bitter/sour/jealous cunts. Naturally assholes Gretchen and Ivy were leading the pack. Andy and Michael D are buttholes too.

I loved Mondo's dress but I'm glad Michael C. won. Did you see the shitty looks on that twat's face? LOL!

I hope Ivy gets the boot too LiquidSky, but I have a feeling it might be Michael D., Gretchen, or Mondo.

Mondo should have won the last challenge although I do like Michael C's look.

If Gretchen and Ivy are the villains, then everyone else who thinks Michael C. is incompetent is just as worse. They're only perceived that way through television because they're blunt. The way Ivy acted in this week's episode, not really giving a crap what Michael C. supposedly said about her being the "bitch" of the show and sabotaging her votes, was very classy. If she really were a "bitch", she would've made a scene... and get more airtime, but she didn't.

85% of the cast agrees that Michael C. doesn't have the skills it takes to stay on the show. I fail to see how it's jealousy, they've said this even before his first win. He wins because he follows the challenges, but in the end it will hurt him, because I cannot see what his true aesthetic is, and that's the whole point of this show.

It does suck that A.J. left, because he brought a different view to the show. He had potential to be the first Heatherette coming out of project runway.

^Gretchen is that you? Lol.

Ivy is a repugnant, childish bitch. There is nothing classy about how she handled things. It was completely unclassy and immature for her to believe that he said something like that w/o confirming it with him. An mature adult doesnt need to make a scene in order to settle a situation like that. Then when Michael tried to explain the rumors were false she blew him off.

I'm not a Michael C. cheerleader but I dont believe he did that. it just doesnt seem like his character and it makes no fucking sense. He told a bunch of strangers not to put buttons in Ivy's bowl and they just listened to him? No. Ivy just cant accept the fact that although she works hard no one likes any of her clothes. So she jumped at the chance to blame Michael.

The others are almost worse than Ivy. B/c they really have no reason to hate Michael but they sit there giving him the evil eye and calling him names behind his back. Whether they have faith in his skills is irrelevant. He was chosen to be on the show just like the rest of them and has every right to be there. And he has been winning. They need to get over it and do better work.

You can tell they are delusional assholes b/c after that menswear camel disaster they still said Michael would have gone were it not for his immunity. That is not true. They hated what A.J. made so he still would have gone. they hated Ivy's most of all and Gretchen pissed them off. But if it was Aj it would have been Ivy or Gretch before Michael.

god, im enjoying this season so much! despite some weak judging. the cast is just really good, the right combination of bitchy drama-queens and really talented designers, sometimes both at once.

mondo! mondo! mondo ftw! loved him from the very start, but today he proved that he can tone down the crazy (that i usually love) if required, and still stay true to himself. in my mind, hes already the winner of the season.

my other two favs, april and michael d, didnt have a good week. i guess michael d made the worst garment of the week, but im glad they chose him over peach. shes a class act, but she hasnt done a single thing that was impressive. sad as it is, it really was her time.

andy and chris both made great looks. i dont love valeries aesthetic, but i dont think she deserved to be in the bottom.

gretchen is such a great villain. shes a complete bitch, but shes also really talented. i would have put her look in the top, again.

ivy, on the other hand... off with her head! granted, the top was simple but stylish. but the pants were hideous. same can be said about casanovas look: stylish top, hideous pants.

everybody hates michael c! i can see why the contestants would be frustrated, since hes getting so much judge love for mediocre or terrible work. i mean, what he made this week was auf-worthy. but why are they making it so personal? he comes across as pretty harmless. however, the editing might be deceptive. peach has this to say about him:

TLo: Everyone hates him but he comes across as this little wounded lamb to us. What’s the deal with Michael Costello, Peach?
Peach: [Laughs] Michael Costello came onto the show, he even said this to us, because he wants his own reality show and he’s creating this character that you see. There were two sides of Michael Costello and one of them did not have the nicest language; not just curse words, subject matter too. I don’t know how to put it, but he is not the victim that they’re painting him to be.

frankly, i tend to be on the anti-costello side. there is no way we can know what really happened, but even the classy peach seems to think hes kind of a douche, and not just because of the undeserved wins. i think i trust her word more than the editing.

I'm with X-Cess. Team Mondo! He's like some anime character and he's 7 kinds of brilliant. Though I agree with the judges about the styling, I really loved his dress and thought it should have won.

I have nothing against Michael C. so far, but I wasn't wild about his winning dress. I tried to like it, but it just seemed awkward coming down the runway.

Mondo FTW! I love his personal style and his clothing is very cool and different from what a lot of the others are putting out. I liked AJ too, but his work wasn't quite up to snuff.

I thought Michael C might be two-faced at the beginning. I'm not too surprised. I still don't like Ivy though and Gretchen isn't far behind her.

aijalon, Gretchen & Ivy are not one of my favorites of the show, I just don't think they're not that bad. I see, especially with Gretchen after that Tim incident, a little shift in character. I know that's not her true personality seeing as how she's so close to her mother and I hope she makes it top the top 5 at least. Ivy, eh... I knew she'd be something since the first episode. I think she was the first cast member to appear being interviewed on the show and she said "I think this should by the Ivy show" or something. She's so straight up, I love her, but her work needs improvement.

The designers I'm rooting for:

1) Andy: I did think in the beginning he tried so hard to the point where it came off looking like student work, although I see he's taking critiques well and as far as I'm concerned hasn't been on the bottom 3 yet. His consistency will definitely take him closer. I love his design aesthetic and I'm rooting for him the most! Oh, and he's fierce without the flamboyant personality lol.

2) Mondo: He's an interesting cast member. He seemed very anti-social and awkward at first, but I see he's opening up and getting comfortable and it's very reflective on his designs. He barely speaks in the workroom, I think his focus and determination will get him in the top, too.

As for the third, I really can't decide between April, Gretchen, or Christopher. I also think if Casanova keeps it up he has potential to make an amazing collection I'd love to see, hopefully not for "old lady or sluts" as he said lol.

I feel for Gretchen. She seemed so humble in the first two weeks I was rooting for her. The editing recently made her look like a bitch, but I don't think she's inherently a bad person. Yes maybe she needs to be knocked off her high horse but she did not deserve to be called out so blatantly by tim.

really? Lace, satin, velvet and that god awful left side(facing the model) of the skirt won? besides the fact that the dress looks like a Forever 21 remake of a designer the addition of the lace gave the girl broad shoulders. there was too much going on and none of it original.
there is also something snide about the way Michael C. acts. This second win is probably blowing up his head a la Gretchen. Anyone notice that when he was explaining his critique to the others his face went emotionless as he remarked that the judges practically vomited over how great it was and how they said too many good things to mention..but then when he got back to the runway he seemed like the most humble human being in the world
Mondo should have been given that win

I feel they have a right to be upset (maybe not at Michael C.) but at the judges for making such odd calls... and it's always easiest to vocalize to a contestant vs a judge who will shoot you down as rude and undeserving

I'm enjoying this season of Project Runway. I'm glad Michael C won 2 challenges. It was very unfair to throw him under the bus the way the other designers did.
I think Gretchen and Ivy both need to go. Their designs are horrible and they're both Be-atches.(bitches)
Even though I liked Peach she needed to go. Her designs were old lady and stale.

It's not Michael C.'s fault that the judges awarded him the wins. I wonder what (if anything) that he's done to make them so pissed off/jealous? Peach's comment makes me quite curious.

It's hilarious that Gretchen has no problem with the judges when she wins.

I think she deserved everything she got from Tim.

i was actually super shocked at that

but i think tim has been around for enough seasons, that the perons who caves in the most and the perosn who does somethign that isnt them and doesnt do it well always goes home (Referring to AJ)

I like this season, they always seem to cast really interesting characters, not like Top Chef,

I do think the producers will keep Gretchen till liek final 5 or 6 then drop her right before the finale, to really cause an emotional mess of her.

i love to hate gretchen... but those who truly hate her, without the 'love to' part, strap yourselfs in. the villain is always going to be in the finals (santino, jeffrey, irina, emilio), even if they have very little talent (wendy pepper, kenley). the only villains who didnt get to the finals were completely devoid of any talent whatsoever (vincent, jason), and gretchen is better than that. ivy in the other hand... sorry, apologists, i just cant stop hating on ivy.
