Project Runway (season 8)

Gretchen's dress was hideous, but then so was Christopher's.

Congrats to Mondo. He looked really good in the suit during the photo shoot!

Gretchen's 1970s caftan was horrible!! How did she get in the top three? She's such a twat.

Glad asshole Ivy is gone.

Again, that one chick (forget her name) with the same ol' black granny panties.

I love Swatch!!

Agreed.....but his looked a little better. (*8*) Althoug her caftan may be comfortable to lay around in and take bong hits. :)

I love how Gretchen seems to believes that she's the owner of that color of fabric and her "concern" for the others. I would love to see her get the boot.

I think the final three will be Mondo, Andy, and Gretchen with Mondo winning.

I don't know what the judges are thinking. They criticized Casanova for his looks being too "old lady" like, but Gretchen was in the top this week? That high fashion look was boring and sooo unoriginal, and the RTW dress, minus the side slits, my Grandmother has dresses that look exactly like that. Seriously! I'm tempted to stop watching.

Ivy's day will come. I just hope it's b4 Micheal's. (Michael C)

ahhhhhhhhh so soothing....

hmmm I'm really not sure that I loved anyone's look for episode 9 tbh although some of them had some nice ideas
I'm not having too many issues with Gretchen's looks as others are (probably because I'm one of the only people who like her lol) but I do feel the fit was unflattering and made the model look bigger then she is and the Silhouette has been seen by Gretchen....alot,regardless there was alot of detail put into that piece. the feathers and back beading were lovely for Project Runway standards and the fabric did look expensive for being velvet. Styling was atrocious though

I am not in love with Mondo's choice of colors for his stripes, they looked cheap when paired all together and the dress itself looked maybe a little like a poor man's JPG or Galliano/Dior design but his back was nice the front with the pink/black stripes running down was not so much.... but it is very Mondo and I do like Mondo as as a designer

Andy....meh I wasn't too big of a fan of his look but I will commend him for doing pants/top instead of going a dress route. I do love his personal style though with the slick back hair and speed bump though lol

the garment that had most potential imo was Chris' dress. The top was nice, maybe not original, but pretty. a little Rodarte-y but after that the fitting around the hips with the gathering of fabric was just unflattering and than the splooge of fabric down from that just dragged it down. It would have looked better if he cut it into a shorter dress instead of floor length imo

and please... Michael C's persona infront of the judges was as appealing as a pile of poop. (This is my first time in the bottom, I'm really nervous) uggghh and I do agree w/ Gretchen that out of all the designers he is the one without a viewpoint but his construction skills are fine

April needs to stop using black...

but in the end Ivy deserved to go, there was just no saving either of them and it was a bad idea to use the same fabric pairing for both and her idea of Hawaii lol...

I hated that "I've never been in the bottom before" line.

I dont mind Michael C saying that. He deserves to be a little snarky with the rest of those assholes. They are awful to him.

I was genuine surprised that Gretchen's look was not in the bottom 3.

Michael C. and Mondo are the only people I like, the rest are catty treating Michael C. that way. Gretchen is a huge bitch.

he wasn't being catty to the other contestants considering he said it infront of the judges
it just made him look fake.

I'm so ticked off I have to work this Thursday night. I love Lifetime for showing the previous week's show before the new episodes. Thank you!

I'd love to see Mondo, Andy and either Valerie or April in the final, but I think Gretchen will make final 3 or at least final 4. It's still a little early to know for sure. There's still 8 episodes left.

I was floored when Gretchen made top 3 this last week. And her saying, "this is probably the best work I've ever done." Just gross. When Casanova was sent home, I was upset because I thought it was classy and timeless. I truly could see Evita at an oceanside resort wearing that. It was not granny at all and Ivy should have gone home that week instead of Casanova. Mondo rules. I wish Chris would break out of the box, he is so dull, but he is good looking and I like seeing his face on the show. Shallow, yes, I admit it.

Wait...Michael C. is straight? Especially after that little story about wearing a dress and his mom pulling it off.

Who said he was straight? Just because he has a son doesn't mean he is straight.

True. Lots of gay people have children. But he seemed to be a struggling designer. I doubt he would be able to afford to adopt a child or make arrangements with a surrogate. Maybe he's just was one of those straight guys that seems really gay.

I meant gay people need to have money to either adopt or have a biological child through a surrogate. Surrogacy is very expensive. And to adopt you need a very steady job and proof of finances. I wasnt talking about irresponsible straight people who dont wear condoms.

There's no need to be rude. It's about the designers, it is on topic. I was just saying I was surprised he was straight b/c he had a child. But Ive since read on other blogs he has said he was straight all along. As a viewer it is surprising is all.Other people started commenting on what I said so I was explaining myself. No need to get hostile b/c people aren't talking about things exactly as you want. This isnt a very active thread anyway, so relax.
