Project Runway (season 8)

I thought Mondo did a great job as usual. I'd kill to have him design clothes for me. I hope he didn't piss Heidi off though. It looked like they got into it during the previews for next week.

I wasn't sure if Michael C. was straight or not. He has a son and he is relatively young so it didn't seem as though surrogacy was an option and he could have had a bi phase or he could simply be bisexual, but even that would surprise me a little.

Anyway, I loved the episode and loved Mondo's hair. I thought it was really brave of him to come out with as being positive. I hope his parents took it well.

I hope he wins!

Mondo deserved to come in first.

All the others deserved to come in last.

Andy was kept in over Valerie because he's shown great talent in previous challenges and she hasn't.

I think Mondo is cool and all and is a great designer but, seriously... if the judges want another designer who can use all colors out of a crayola box he/she at least needs to be better than Jay McCarroll of season 1 or Christian Siriano.

I see Mondo designing coutoure dresses for the girls of MTV's Sweet 16.

I love Mondo's youthful designs. I think it'll be interesting to see where he goes with coutoure.

I felt really bad for Christopher, even though he was the clear loser, just because A) he seems like he may be one of the more genuinely nice and sweet people they've ever had on the show; he definitely kept the bitchitude to a minimum compared to the rest. And B) it was just written all over his face, almost before the judges' critiques were out of their mouths that he knew he was going home. Poor guy. None of that changes the fact that 95% of the stuff he sent down the runway this season was bland, boring and forgettable, however.

What is up with people's attitude towards Heidi? I felt so bad for her... The people were so rude to her.

And I swear I just want to strangle Ivy, omg that lil bitch is like a fuckin' imp, I just want to flick her like a mosquito...

What the fuck are they smoking? How dare those amateur designers treat Heidi that way? I can't believe how they were acting. Especially Mondo. Gretchen's behavior is no surprise but I couldnt stand Mondo this entire episode. he was self-righteous about his awful behavior to the very end.

Ive is just an evil elf. Michael C.'s smiling after Ivy hurt her eye was hilarious. I also realized I hate April. She's such a bitch. She just graduated design and only uses black but she jumps on the "I Hate Michael" bandwagon.

At least Mondo explained that he was hurt by Heidi's comments - which at least put his bad behavior into context.

It was very immature of him to behave in that way. He was getting a real advantage by having his "client" tell him - so early on - what she didn't like, so he could make changes.

At least he came around, instead of sticking with a bad idea. He came around on working with Michael too, so even though he's immature he shows signs of being able to get past it.

Gretchen on the other hand is so fucking obnoxious. But even she's no Ivy.

(And I loved Ivy complaining that Michael was just there because the was playing the game --- which is the point of being there!)

I am going with Heidi is a bitch. She fostered the diss-respect by her superiror attitude. Even Tim looked like he was appalled by her. Yes, Mondo got upset and you would have too. Gretchen was and will always be a bitch.

Now Ivy has a mean soul and she displayed it once again with Michael C. I screamed when she was saying Michael is a bad person and Karma would get him/cut to the broken needle hitting her in the face. One of the most delicious and deserved things I have seen on this show.

And that nasty queen that Michael c was talking to who wrapped himself up like a ball of string when he told Michael he couldn't trust him. The only thing left is a good hair pulling.

Deserved win by Andy. Sorry for the eviction though he had to know that was coming, having been in the bottom so many times - and gawd awful that collection of Michael C's.

It must be hard for designers with color vision to have to design in greys and drabs.

Heidi did look fab in that shimmering dress while standing on the runway.

And one other thing, Mondo has so much talent. He just has such clear visions of what he wants to do and knows how to get the product done.

Heidi might have been a bitch, but she's still the "client" and a judge. I might have been upset by it, but I certainly wouldn't be as rude as Mondo was in response. The truth is he was lucky she did what she did, because he had the chance to change his original poor plan. It really was a golden opportunity to get that little judging preview, and I'm glad for Mondo that he was able to get over it and use the feedback.

Tim is always very defensive of the designers.

I don't think Michael C is a good designer, or even passably intelligent. But Ivy and some of the others have been so heinous to him, I hope he sticks around just to run their noses in it.

Um Tim was appalled at Mondo's horrid entitled behavior, he definitely was not making that face about Heidi.

Mondo is squandering all the goodwill he got after confessing his HIV status by being a complete asshole. He needs to dial it back.

I am not saying Mondo was not out of line, but Heidi came into the work space all haughty and snooty and the way she speaks down to everyone with that plastered smile on her face -. Mondo was out of line as was Gretchen, but Mondo pulled it together and did a fantastic job. You know and I know he would have changed that design when he realized it was not a fit. I just think Heidi came in before they really got a hold on what they really wanted to accomplish. These designers may be amateurs but they certainly have egos as we have seen from the beginning of this series.

^^Part of their learning curve concerns how to deal with clients, particularly when they don't like what you're showing them.

Mondo will have a very brief career, despite his staggering talent, if he throws a hissy fit every time someone, especially a client, criticizes what he's done.

Heidi was the client. He needed to take her criticisms seriously and with tact.

Mondo really pissed me off during this episode. All I kept saying was "You ungrateful bastard" each time he threw a fit. Seriously?! I think that $20,000 win got to his head too soon.

Andy & April may be the youngest but they are certainly the most grateful and relaxed ones on the show. Not to mention the most creative. I'm sorry, I still think Mondo is still around because he's the only one who uses color.

Heidi was the client. He needed to take her criticisms seriously and with tact.

More importantly, she's one of the judges, and she's telling him that what he's got at the moment is a disaster. That's good information! That's a gift!

But I also think it's clear that Mondo's family has issues, and that may leave him poorly equipped to take in the information. He said he was hurt, and I believe him. He just handled it poorly.

What he heard from Heidi is nothing compared to what he could deal with in the business. He'd better learn to be more graceful in such situations - talent only gets you so far.

Yes Ivy was a total bitter bitch and her crusade is only succeeding in making Michael look even more sympathetic. I'm so glad the editors included that shot of Ivy saying "Karma is a bitch" right before someone flew in her eye.
