Project Runway (season 8)

I hated Gretchen, but I won't lie, when the music played and her collection came down the runway I was in awe. She blew me away. It was very subtle yet very her. I'm glad she won.

Mondo irritates me. He does great with color, but I think he needs more time to fine tune his work a bit. It did come across looking very teenager, which is not a problem if that should be his target market, but then he shouldn't have had older women dressing in them either. Just my two cents. Love the guy but his collection was, well, expected...

All this time I was rooting for Andy though. I felt like his collection was more of a tribute than his designs. I wish he could've came more harder. I hope him the best with his career! He was my favorite and it sucked to see him come in 3rd.
 
I think Heidi was a hundred percent accurate in her discomfort that they'd encouraged Mondo to be wild and crazy all season and then overnight seemed to decide it was a problem. THey brought him here because of it and then decided it was a bad thing.
 
I wish Mondo had won. I was actually stunned when he didn't. If he had won, it probably would have been my second favorite season, but since he didn't, I guess it's my third. My first being when Christian won, and my second being when Seth Aaron won.
 
EW.com has an item quoting Tim Gunn as saying, the debate among the judges went on for hours, and they eventually brought him into it. He supported Mondo.

Finally the decision was made...wait for it...based on the fact that Gretchen was so poor and needed the money, while they knew Mondo would succeed on his own.

What a fucked-up decision! Cry poor mouth and win Project Runway, even though your collection isn't the best.

great season allthough non of the finalist put on a really wauw show compared to christians or lee ann's

but mondo did good and i do hope he makes it outhere in the industry :)
