Proper etiquette in straight male gym locker rooms.

You should strike up a conversation with the observer. Just to see what he'll say. LOL. :D

I didn't because it was obvious that he wanted to be incognito. Once I saw him later and said good morning and he didn't say a thing.

Main rule for me is to stay focused on the task at hand when in the locker room. Put on gym clothes hit the floor, after workout gather things go home and shower. I really get annoyed when people try to talk to me while there naked..put some fucking underwear on...wrap a towel.

Common sense and courtesy go a long way. To be specific:

1. No blow jobs in the sauna, no fucking in the rest room stalls, no jacking off in the showers. Don't be sexual. Period. It isn't a gay sex club.

2. Don't spread your gym bag and gear all over the bench. Leave room for others.

3. Don't track water all over the locker room. Dry off in the shower area (except for the hot 20 yr old at my gym who is into boxing and mma and who does not carry a towel with him to the showers but walks out buck naked back to his locker to dry off. He can track water anywhere he wants.)

4. Don't take a shower head right next to another guy. Leave one space between you. This does not apply if the shower is crowded.

5. Don't initiate a conversation with another guy when either of you are completely naked unless you know him or have talked to him before.

6. Don't stare at another guy's cock. You can glance, sneek a peek, or discretely check him out. But don't gawk. He will probably check you out as well. It's not a gay thing. It's a guy thing.

7. Don't leave trash around, or abuse the lockers, soap dispensers, shower heads, etc.

8. Don't OD on the cologne or talcum powder.

9. Don't hog the dryers (note to the chubby Latino guy at my gym- towels serve a wonderful purpose. Why don't you use the one you bring? Or is it not allowed to touch your body and you can only be dryed off with forced warm air?)

10. Enjoy the scenery!

Thank you, Mr Bally!!!

I think as long as someone uses common sense as TongueTied said is a good idea. Almost every guy glances or peeks at another guy in the locker room. I think it's just human nature for guys to size up another guy and compare ourselves with others. Being bi, I glance for additional reasons as well..hehe..but I try not to stare or gawk. However, I am guilty of making multiple glances at several hot guys at my gym who regularly go when I go. There's this one guy who I'm just going head-over-heels over and I sometimes look at him through the mirrors at the gym as well. Although I maybe crushing on him, I definitely won't be using the locker room as a place to hook-up.
