So I've literally just started using a razor for the first time in November (I'm 23). In the past i would always use an electric razor but the first time I used a real razor I have promised myself I'm never going back xD
(this is all for my face)

Now I always kept things trimmed down there (I have course and really curly hair that doesn't grow that thickly, looks bad if not kept trimmed). Recently though I attempted to shave my balls, inner thigh (basically a speedo line shave) and my ass

When I shaved I patted down with after shave and then a clean cold rag to close the pores. But the next day I had really bad acne that lasted about a week (I also specifically didnt wear any tight clothing for 3 days).

Does the skin toughen eventually so I don't get the acne? because it looks absolutely atrocious. Admittedly I panicked and though I might have had the herpes for a bit til I got checked out.

Is there anything I can do to prevent the acne better?

and finally, I have a hell of a damn time trying to shave my ass
How do you make sure its been shaven off well?

I use a kids scissor to trim my pubes. I should probably get cosmetic scissors.

I trimmed a few weeks ago to get ready for surgery, now I can't help myself.

My leg hair, pits, butt, everything else is intact though.

I shaved my pubes for the first time at 14 and I got irritation bumps everwhere. I bought a beard trimmer for this purpose now and my problem was solved.

Same for my ass. I love a smooth ass.

PS: I don't use the beard trimmer on my face.

I used scissors when I was 14,
I used a beard trimmer a little later,
I used a razor and had the fucking bumps, and burns.
I now pluck my pubes sometimes. (but still use the trimmer)

The only thing I shave is my Head & my face so I can keep my stache/goatee looking good...

There's no way I'd spend that much time shaving my Face, Crotch, & Ass-Crack..On the flip-side if I had issues with Body hair then I probably would...

I've tryed shaving(manual and electric), trimming, waxing and plucking but it always ends with the same result I get those bumbs that remind me of a plucked chicken so now i hate it and my girl friend hates it to so theres added incentive for me not to try again =]
