Re: Puer Homosexuals

I'm not homosexual, I'm a gay man. The closest I have come to sex with a women was being flogged by one. I didn't even take my shirt off.

Oh yeah, I've also fondled a woman's strap-on, but we were both fully dressed that time too.

Re: Puer Homosexuals

I don't know if this was your intent, but your post reads as a slap in the face to anyone who isn't 100% gay. I will not bow to your pressure to denounce my appreciation for the female body.

Re: Puer Homosexuals

I made out but that was it. but experimentation is not necessarily betraying yourself.. nothing is ever as clear cut

Re: Puer Homosexuals

Ah, okay. I see this thread is sadly not about gay pu-er tea aficionados, but rather some kind of weird Voldemort-esque thread about gay men who haven't been tainted by girl cooties.

Isn't that skewing a bit young for the people in this thread, OP excepted?

Re: Puer Homosexuals

The OP is not some kind of misogynist. He is simply congratulating those gay men who resist the pressures society puts on them to be str8 by dating women - something that goes against their nature. What's wrong with that?

Actually he went farther than that. His post implied that anyone who is not 100% gay is a sellout, that the mere act of dating or even desiring a woman is wrong. Not to mention his complete lack of respect by calling a woman a chick.

I want to know who here is a PURE HOMOSEXUAL. I want to know who never gave into social pressure and fooled around with a chick. I want to congragulate those who have ALWAYS been true to themselves and never engaged in heterosexual activity that society demands we do.

Society does not demand anyone engage in any sexual activities. It does make suggestions about public displays of life choices, but everyone is free to choose as they will. It is one's own conscience, one's desire to be just like everybody else, that applies the true pressure to conform to the predominant idea of society.

Re: Puer Homosexuals

I'm really glad to see that I'm not the only one who was offended and a little disgusted by the tone of the first post. As a pansexual, I resent your insinuation that "fooling around with a chick" (very disrespectful phrasing too, might I add) is wrong and that people who are not 100% gay are sellouts or not being "true to themselves." I am true to myself. In fact, I'm a lot truer to myself than some other people I know.

You're acting a hell of a lot like stereotypical homophobes do with your purist, "omg it's wrong to even kiss a girl because that means you're not REALLY gay! You're not PURE!" attitude. I agree with Sigma-taylor-E -- so much for unity. :/

(Also, Girlesque, thank you for making me laugh out loud!)

Re: Puer Homosexuals

A lot of us spend a fair amount of time trying to figure out which direction our compass points: we arrive at our sexual orientation not at once but at last.

gaynyualum needs a better appreciation of the regressive virtue of patience.

Re: Puer Homosexuals

I always knew I was gay. I never pretended to be straight. If I'm being honest, I do judge gay men who had sex with women before coming out. Let's all be honest here. We all judge other people whether we want to admit to it not. Do I sometimes think I'm a better gay man because I didn't have straight sex or play the straight guy game? Yes. I'd like to be more accepting and more understanding, but no matter how often I tell myself that I'm being foolish, my first reaction is annoyance at a gay man talking about having sex with women.

Where exactly does he say that?

"Chick" is offensive? Well, I never...

Seems like people are offended by anything and everything these days.

Society does not demand anyone engage in any sexual activities. It does make suggestions about public displays of life choices, but everyone is free to choose as they will.

And those "public displays of life choices" is to act like a heterosexual.

Yes, no one is forced to engage in sexual activity against their will, but if a closeted gay man is dating a woman, there is pressure on him to bed her.

Most importantly, it's not fair on the woman because she is being used - and totally misled.

It is one's own conscience, one's desire to be just like everybody else, that applies the true pressure to conform to the predominant idea of society.

Life for gays may be a little easier in big cities, but in smaller communities a lot of men are still abused, discriminated against, beaten up, and even murdered for being gay - therefore, the pressure to conform is much greater.

Actually, he's saying the opposite - that he commends those men who are 100% gay for not selling out their true selves by playing the str8 game.

Re: Puer Homosexuals

Well, dismissing us all as "you people" should ratchet down the level of annoyance nicely.

And yes, "chick" is offensive. What planet are you from?

Earth... and you?

Re: Puer Homosexuals

My, my, my. Everyone's a little touchy today, aren't we.

A lot of over reacting going on here.

And no, I've never had sex with a woman.

Re: Puer Homosexuals

I hugged a girl once in High School. Does that count?

Re: Puer Homosexuals

YES! That's all I'm asking. I want to know who, if they identify as 100% gay, never went against that. God, some of you people seem to need to find a reason to be offended by everything.

I've noticed that a lot of people seem scared or annoyed when gay men want to support gay men, want gay porn to be gay, or want to be proud of just being gay, etc. You'd think they were being asked to give a kidney the way they take offense. There is nothing wrong with being proud or happy that a fellow gay men did not play the straight game despite massive pressure from society and from fellow gays especially in the gay porn world where being solely gay is seen as a detriment and a turnoff for many.

The level of self loathing in gay porn and gay porn viewers is very high so going after gay men is seen as okay, but say something negative (intentionally/unintentionally) against straights or bisexuals, and all hell breaks loose. I will bet you that most of the people who attacked you have not said one word about the homophobia in gay porn or from certain porn viewers the way I have or the way Phunkspunk has. I'm happy to be shown wrong though. I would love to read more people calling out homophobia in gp.

That's not to say that gay men aren't as judgmental. I do judge gay men who played straight or who talk up being "Straight curious."

Re: Puer Homosexuals

I have never done anything with a girl. I never will. I would like friends who are girls so they have someone to talk to. Now I will just take my trophy and be on my way.
