***So straight off the bat, this story is not only about homosexuality and sex. It's more of a drama/soap opera-ish type of story. Yes, there is gay sex, but there may not be any for a bit. Just so ya'll know. Thanks and enjoy =] ***
She closed her locker and turned around, her long and wavy, golden hair swishing with her. Her purse in her right hand and her Voyager in her left, she began walking down the hall. It was obvious that some kids in Putnam High were intimidated by her. As she moved past, all of the girls ducked away, hiding, and all of the guys-the cool ones, anyway-smiled.
"Amanda, wait up," a voice called.
Amanda turned around, to see her tall, tanned brunette friend. Well, friend wasn't quite right. More like best friend for as long as she could remember.
Amanda smiled and said, "Hey, Sara."
Catching up, the two began walking together.
"Where have you been? You weren't in the hall during last break and you were absent from Bio...were you with-"
"No," Amanda said, interrupting Sara, "I was not with him...I dumped his sorry ass. I told you that."
"Yeah, but you know how attatched to him you are. You'd take him back in a heartbeat." Her friend was smiling, but Amanda knew she was not kidding.
"No need to be a bitch, thanks. And I would not take him back. He cheated on me. I can't forget about that. I'm so upset you would think I could..." Lying to her best friend hurt, but Amanda knew Sara would completely flip if she knew Amanda was still seeing him-secretly.
"You're right. I'm sorry." She put her hand on Amanda's shoulder. "I know you wouldn't do that to yourself. It took you forever to get over him."
Sara's attempt at trying to help was not working very well.
"Who'd he even cheat on you with? You still haven't told me. You're best friend??" Sara laughed. She was joking, but she did make it pretty obvious she wanted to know.
"Hun, I know it seems like I'm being a bad friend for not telling you, but...that's his and my business...for now," she quickly added, so Sara wouldn't be completely annoyed.
How am I suppose to tell her he cheated on me with her ex boyfriend? The one who dumped her?
"Fine...but still, he cheated on you. Just remember that."
Again, Sara's attempts at comforting her just made her feel awkward.
"Hey, I'll catch up with you after this period." She made it seem as if the period hadn't even begun yet. It had 3 minutes ago. Not that it mattered to her..."I'll text you during. I sit next to David...I'll need someone to talk to." She smiled.
"Okay. Ttly, hun." Sara walked the opposite way, passing the Hall Monitor, who didn't dare confront her for her tardiness in the presence of Amanda Johnson.
Making sure Sara had turned the hall, Amanda walked into the currently empty classroom. As expected, on time, there he was. Her basketball star, 4.0 average...boyfriend? She thought about it for a moment.
Yes...my boyfriend...
"Hi sweetie," he said, taking her hand, dragging her over to him. "What took you?"
Amanda bit her lip. Yeah, he had cheated on her, and yeah, Amanda was right about her being vulnerable,-not that she'd let anyone know that-but how could she resist those bright green eyes? That flipped, brown hair? That smell of...Peppermint, she decided? The toned, muscular, tall body? She couldn't, obviously...
"I was with Sara...you know, I want to tell her." Amanda knew how shocked Sara would be if she knew. Amanda herself was extremely shocked. Why, when he had the most popular girl at school, and every other girl there drooling over him, would he choose another guy? She didn't get it, but it didn't matter. As long as she was in his arms, his strong, tanned arms, nothingmattered.
"Not now," Max said. "When the time is right. It's not like I'm gay or anything. Just....bi."
Smiling, he kissed her soft, red lips, and she returned. The vibrations of her phone didn't matter. Just him.
She didn't care that she was losing her self-respect to him. No one knew, except for them...and the revengeful girl who had been humiliated by Amanda for talking to her boyfriend. With a flash of her camera phone through the glass door, now the whole school would know...of her non-existent self-respect...of Max's...hmm, curiousity...Poor Amanda...Did she think that in Putnam High, her-or any-secret would be safe? Think again, sweetie. Hugs and kisses until next time. <3
