Q about Fox and the dance show?

why did they end the show so early? bad rating?

if i remembered it correctly, they usually end the show with only two contentants in it.

I had to look it up to be sure - I don't watch the show, but I saw clips on the Soup - but the current series ended in early August, I believe. Apparently someone named Jeanine Mason won.

So You Think You Can Dance is very popular on the network, and it had a full season.

It's had a full 5 or 6 seasons. I think this was one of their best seasons. Of course, in a month, it is coming back again. Overkill, but I am still watching.

I guess Fox got lazy on Fall programming.

No, they've done it this way for at least the last three seasons. Last year they got down to Courtney, Twitch, Joshua and Katee. The year before that was Neil, Lacey, Sabra and Danny.

My understanding is that it's hitting the Fall tv season because it has done so well in the ratings during the summer--they're giving it a chance to be a heavy hitter during the regular season.

They usually eliminate the third and fourth place dancer during the season finale show. And then they choose the winner for the season.

oh, that is good to know. i thought that maybe their rating was going down, so they just want to finish it asap.

i probably got it confused with american idol. this year's dance show didn't have any more cute guys, so i didn't watch it religiously.

too bad, when he was still in the show, it was the time to upgrade to DTV, so the fox station was down during that few weeks.

Jason was the guy for me. He was so fucking sexy it wasn't right. And he was essentially shirtless every week. Made the show so awesome.
