Queer as Folk

Ii was fan of the Queer Folk from the first series to last. Gave the opportunity to share with my brother to come out of closet to my older gay brother.
 
Oh my god. I have a great reason to bump this thread.

Hulu.com which streams popular shows of past and present recently added Queer as Folk. All the episodes are available to legally stream and watch.

But the best part is IT'S THE ORIGINAL UK VERSION. It is really good. Each episode consists of 2 episodes so it's an hour per episode. It is great though. I watched like 5 episodes of the american version and it was okay. But this version is much much better.

It's actually hot too. I actually got horny watching the first two episodes. The story is great too.

They don't have the rights for the american version yet. So they might be trying to get the american version. But I'm just so happy that I am actually able to see what the original version was like.

They actually really show the sex too :D

I was surprised, shocked, horny, and amazed by that. Even on logo or some other shows in america. They would never show what they showed in the UK version.

They might not really be doing it. But there is enough flesh and no shadows or subtle hints of what is going on they really fucking do it.

Also lots of the guys are hot. The main cast and some side characters. I like the accent too :D
 
British version is now available free on hulu.com. Part of it anyway -- for some reason they have first four eps of season 1 & all of season 2 (2 eps), but not the last four eps of season 1. You can also access it via IMDB.

Oh damn so the last 4 aren't on there.

Wait they don't have the last episodes of season 1?

Well that really sucks. That defeats the purpose of watching Season 1 until season 2 is finished.

Hulu usually adds new episodes to shows every week, or every other week. So maybe they will add the rest of the episodes soon.

I hope they do. I was about to go to season 2 :(
 
I know, it's really strange. Why would they put the first half of season 1 and then jump to season 2? Possibly the other half will eventually go up...
 
Thanks guys for posting this. Never saw the UK version and wouldn't have until seeing your post about it being on hulu.com. I've seen every US show, I'm sure the UK version will be better. The Brits do most everything better.:=D:

There are 10 all together but for some weird reason only 6 are available on hulu at the moment...
 
^^^I haven't had any problems, and I'm a problem-magnet. I use it to watch Jon Stewart all the time.

Might depend on your connection speed. I occasionally get a buffering problem, but not severe.
 
I watched the first 40 minutes of the UK version and I am not impressed but again that was just a little snip. will be watching the rest soon
 
Of course the American series stole a lot of stuff from the British series, including practically the whole first episode. But there are a lot of differences in characters, styles, etc. I would say the British series was more realistic, but that's not always a good thing...
 
But I don't even believe there was a season 2.

I thought there were like 8-10 episodes and the last two were actually a bonus thing and the ending to the series.

I guess they are renaming that season 2.

Hulu works fine for me. I watch shippuden, family guy, american dad, and tons of shows on it. They even have some movies on there. It has messed up once or twice but that was when my internet was fucking up.

And I thought the first episode kicked ass. The characters are really weird to understand and take like 3 episodes to finally kinda figure out.

But even though I haven't seen much of the american version and have seen 4 episodes of the UK version I already know it's better than the american.

And they don't have bad teeth. I don't know why people keep leaving comments like "Eww the teeth are bad"

I never knew you could download on hulu. I thought it was just streaming.
