Question about electric range oven

I find it useful for pot lids and such. The larger pots won't fit.

That coo. I'm moving and where I am now it's rusted and unusable, but where I'm moving it will come in very handy because I will need it for storage. I guess since you use them for cooking there is no problem with them getting too hot from the oven.

I have another question.

Do electric ovens take a very long time to cool down or does mine maybe have a problem?

They get red hot. That doesn't go away very fast. They can take quite some time to cool to the tough.

(Hint: If you see a spot glowing bright red either in the elements on top of the stove but more likely on the element in the oven, it means that the element is on its way to burn-out.)

By the way I don't like electric, but chances are that's usually what you will find in south Florida in a rental. The only upside is that you will never have a gas leak or gas explosion.

Some of the newer ovens use the lower drawer as a food warmer.

That's cool. I guess you can use the regular one as a warmer too, but only when the oven is on or when it's cooling down.

An electric warming tray is a good idea because you can use it for storage or warming.

No. They are different. A warming drawer is heated. Storage drawers aren't and don't get particularly hot.

I have a question about refrigerators.

When I close the door, does the light stay on or go out...??

I am just the opposite, Johann...

I love my gas stove. It's all I have ever cooked on. I never learned how to cook on electric, but I have an aunt who wouldn't cook with anything else.

Electric ranges are easier to clean, especially the one's with the sealed or ceramic cooktops. But I'll stick with gas for heat control and even cooking.

My ideal would be a high BTU gas stove top and an electric oven.

^My sister has that. The oven also has convection as well. However, they paid close to $3,000 for it.

We have a convection one too and i believer the bottom drawer is a heating one but i dont think it gets hot unless you tell it to. so you should be able to use it for storage then emppty it if you want to warm something up

Warming trays don't heat up food and shouldn't be used for that. They are for keeping food warm while other food in the oven continues to cook.
