I dont do anal much at all, but when I do I use an enema. My question is...do you get just as clean when you use regular water or do you actually need to buy one from a drug store to get as clean? Any advise will be appreciated.

i dont do anal that much either, but when i do i always use the disposable fleet enemas you buy at the drugstore. in my opinion you get cleaner with them than just water.

Just water & never had a problem,I use one of the shower attachments that are made for that purpose!!

Guys,

This not being a porn matter per sei, I moved the thread to the Health and Well Being Forum...

SC

just warm water in shower/bath with attachment works great. But just dont use alot of water as you may risk releasing alot other stuff thats further up the colon and that makes a mess later on. So you just want to do the 1st part of your colon. Have a good bowel movment before and then your ennema. Dont eat alot afew hours before either helps,.

I never use an enema, and I've rarely had an issue with anything. Read the sticky at the top of this forum before ya flush yer brains out there.

Willuafan1:

You can use either a commercial enema such as a Fleet enema or tap water. As panda commented, a shower attachment can be used to clean the outside and inside of the anus and rectum. Just reduce the water pressure if you use a shower attachment.

The only advantage of the commercial enema is that you have more control over how much water that you are using.

"warm water." Yep.

I think the advice about "not getting TOO much water, because it's kind of messy later, is good too" (however, a little "watery/messy" gives you the opportunity to get desensitized to "a little watery/messy.")

If I were using a fleet enema, I would run a sinkful of hottish water, and then let the enema bottle float around in that for a while, until it warmed up. It can feel almost hot in your hand, but when used will probably only feel "comfortable." To me, H2O that's *not* warmed definitely feels "cold."

Be really careful about the water pressure if you use a shower attachment. If you want more water than a fleet enema, the old fashioned hot-water-bottle with plastic hose is a safe rate of flow, determined by gravity (you hang the water bottle up higher than the point of insertion into your rectum, with a little crimp-thingy that you turn the water on and off with.)

I have never had any issues with just using water, aslong as there is no water left afterwards which may lead to some mess.

I use a water enema but I wanted to ask is it normal to feel bloated and get lots of wind about 30 mins to 1 hour later? Am I doing something wrong?

It's not usual.

For the most part, enemas aren't necessary although some people just don't feel clean and can't fully commit themselves to the moment unless they feel clean.

How much water are you using? One of two things is happening-
  1. either you're using too much water and it is stimulating your bowel to move or
  2. you're accidentally introducing air with the enema. There are specially made squeeze bottles that are designed for enemas. The bottles should be filled to the top or squeezed to remove the excess air.

Thanks KaraBulut, I think I will try less water next time, as I always squeeze out the excess air.

If you use a enema bag 2 or 3 quarts that will clean you out just fine. Use some Ivory soap in the water solution. Another thing try to take and hold 2 to 3 quarts of the soapy water till you get cramps once you get sharp cramps that means the enema is working and then you can expell the enema on the toilet. Thats what I do. Good luck.

Enemaboi

I have a shower attachment that I recently purchased and it has gotten rave reviews by others but I'm finding that I never get comfortably clean. there's always a bit of cloudy water left and maybe more...after a few times in and out of the shower. What am I doing wrong to not get clean? Am I going too far past the bottom part of the anus/rectum into other territories? well what if he does??? I want it to be clean. thanks guys!

In the All About Ass sticky, there's a discussion about enemas. Where most people go wrong is thinking that they need to do "enemas until clear" before anal sex. That's excessive and unnecessary. And in many cases, it creates more of a problem than you would have if you didn't douche.

An enema should just clear the rectum. Doing that doesn't take much water. If you use too much water, you're just going to stimulate the bowel to move and you're going to trap water in the colon that will eventually have to come out.

But as I've mentioned in several threads, for most people an enema is not necessary but some guys just feel better if they douche before sex.

I think I have tried the full spectrum when it comes to enemas. I have used the Fleet enemas, but I don't like the slime it creates in your anus. I have used the old-fashioned water bottle type bags. One must be sure to wash it thoroughly before using. So an enema can take 45 minutes to an hour.

I am now using old Fleet bottles and filling them with warm water. I know this in not recommended, but it will have to do until I can purchase an enema bulb.

I have learned from experience that one does not need to clean the entire intestine to have anal sex. So, little water is needed. The time you ate last and your last bowel movement will also affect how easily it is to get clean for sex.

For me, I fill the Fleet bottle with warm water, squeeze it inside me, evacuated out into the toilet. I repeat this process about three or four times to get the water coming out of my ass to run clear. Then I use a washcloth to clean the outside. Then I know I am ready to be rimmed and fucked. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
