I have a problem smelling sweaty around my crotch area. No matter what I do, I smell sweaty down there. I am talking, just took a shower and dried off, by the time I get to the living room it smells again. It is really annoying, and I dunno what to do to help

Do you have any irritation such as jock itch? Jock itch will make your crotch smell. I suggest you try an OTC product like Cruex to spray after your shower. Also, try a medicated wash like you would use for acne, such as Panoxyl bar. Wash your crotch with the med. soap when you first start to shower, don't rinse and soap up again before rinsing and leaving the shower. You can also spray your crotch with deodorant but spray it lightly and then rub it in with your hand. If that doesn't work, see a doctor.

No, no jock itch. Where would I find Cruex? And what are some names of brands of med soap?

Sometimes there can be a bacteria adherent to the pubes and the only way to get rid of it (and the smell) is to shave off your pubes.

Grab some hibiclens from walgreens or the like.

It's anti-microbial and continues to kill bacteria and what-not after it's rinsed away.

Follow the directions on the bottle.

It's great for the pits, too, for those who tend to stink even when clean.

Try using antibacterial soap, like Dial, and wash your crotch at least twice each time you shower. THen dry thoroughly and take an air bath for about 15 minutes before putting on clothes.

I would recomend shaving or at least trimming. soap can be food for bacteria too so if you use soap make sure you get it all off. I would try clerasil or something but more importantly try using a talcum powder of some kind for a week. I find that works best for me in the summer for instance.

Underwear is another factor to consider in addition to antibacterial soap and air bath. Try wearing 100% cotton underwear. Avoid nylon spandex/polyester/lycra underwear. Same if you go commando.

After you shower, lay back on a towel over the bed, dry your pubes good with a hair dryer, and apply an absorbent powder. I like Mexsana, it has cornstarch and is very absorbent. Wear ordinary briefs, even when you sleep. The way their leg bands fit up into the crotch, they wick the moisture from around your balls. Boxers and boxer briefs don't do this.
