Question for Christians...

Plainly heaven isn't part of material creation: Paul says material creation suffers because of sin, and there's no sin in heaven, so those two are separate.

As for hell, if one wants to take some of the imagery literally, it has different physical laws than our material universe, which would make it separate as well. OTOH, I could make a case that hell doesn't actually exist yet. Either way, it's a different realm than heaven for the same reasons as above, and symmetry suggests it would be separate from material creation as well.

Call them parallel 'universes'.

But mostly I think the question is amusing -- as with the bit about hell being down under Siberia, it grabs the simple-minded and demonstrates their folly, while to people with imagination and education the answer that they're something apart from this universe is sort of self-evident.

Thank you for finishing it for me. Last time I used it, I got cited.

I included the last of the quote because I think it reflects poorly on Frederick the Great...and no one else.

Well, I respectfully disagree, because I agree with Frederick's sentiments about Christianity.

Sentiments that don't further dialogue. Really, the remark is nothing but an insult.

I think this forum has demonstrated a much more sophisticated level of discussion on the issues than a simply provocative quote. Let's keep it up!

Is this a serious question, or just to strike debate?
If you want to know at the moment hell is in the inner most parts of the earth, in the end Satan and hell will be cast into the lake of fire, which would be in a different dimension you might say.
Heaven the place, is sort of the same, in a different dimension. There are 5 or 7 different heavens so to speak. The sky. The stars, and so on. The final heaven would be far above all the universe, as if the universe itself opened up and there it will be. Both places are not places you can dig to, shuttle too or anything of the sort. It come by the return of Christ to gather his children, believers, to heaven, others will face the thrown of judgment and then be cast into hell.
So if this is a serious question, there is a serious answer. If this is strictly for argument, please disregard my post.
My proof, the word of God which had stood the stand of time. Not some persons opinion or philosophy, Christian or other. Just straight from the word of God itself.

So I'm dying

There you really really scared me. I'm happy that you are alright. pheew!

Then, I've been years studying in a Catholic penitentiary, I mean school, sorry. We always say that "Heaven and Hell are the others". In fact they say "Hell are the others" I put Heaven, because I came across a couple angels.
Where is located? In the eyes of the others. Heaven in the eyes of your lover, grandma, pet, sonny... and Hell (do it yourself)

Heaven to me is:
if you are happy and enjoy life, you are in heaven.

Hell:
if you don't want to live anymore because of what ever reasons such as pain, hopelessness ... etc, you are in hell.

After death is nothing/dust/dirt.

The (so-called) Word of God is one of the worst books I've ever read. There are many better epics and sagas than the Bible.

Furthermore, I find the works of the Greco-Roman philosophers to be more edifying and satisfying (both intellectually and spiritually) than ANYTHING to be found in the Bible.

If the Bible is "the word of God," then god is a lousy writer.

Oh, that's easy, OP. Heaven is located in the back room of your local adult book store, or in a dark alley full of sweaty young Frenchmen. Hell, it has long been theorized, is somewhere in Pat Robertson's underwear.
