Hello everyone, I have a quick question about anal play and I figured you were the right group of people to ask. It seems that just about every time I do something involved with my ass I later have a pretty bad stomach ache followed by loose stool or bad gas. I searched the forum for similar topics and only found one which wasn't very helpful. Anyway, I wanted to know if this happens to other people besides just me, and if so, is there anything you do to relieve it?

sounds like irritable bowel syndrome .. but i never heard that the symptons can be cause by something from the other end.

maybe it's an allergic reaction to something? did you try to change the lube and/or condom brand?

I'm no expert, but from what I do know I don't think it's IBS. I have been using conditioner as a lube though so that I might be it. I've read on these forums that using conditioner and other hair products isn't usually a good idea, but I never even thought about connecting those statements with my problem lol. I'll switch up my lubes now and see if that fixes it. Thanks for the input corny.

I think you should use products for what they were intended for, lube for anal, would you use lube for a conditioner?

Hair products contain chemicals that would be irritating to the colon. It's not a good idea to put them up your ass.

You should use a water-based lube that is designed for that purpose.

Stimulation of the rectum does increase motility of the GI tract and many people will have a bowel movement shortly after anal sex. But this bowel movement should be of a normal consistency and should not cause cramps.

Maybe if it was a scented or flavored lube ;). Aren't some things able to be used as a lube that aren't necessarily intended for such use though? I'm thinking of cooking oil. I won't be experimenting with that though, gonna stick to the real deal from now on.

Thanks for the information KB, I've learned my lesson

The rule is that anything you wouldn't put in your stomach, you shouldn't put in your ass.

Vegetable oils are fine if you are playing by yourself. However, if you are using a condom or a toy, you shouldn't use an oil based product- including butter, shortening (Crisco), olive oil, cooking oil, etc.

Wet makes a good line of flavored water-based lubes. They come in kiwi-strawberry, blueberry, cherry...

Also, have you considered that you may be pumping some air into your ass via the play you engage in. That may explain the cramps and gas, and possibly the stool.
