Sorry couldn't do it.

I actually hooked up with a guy who had hooked up with a smoker earlier in the day....And yikes...You could taste the smoke off of him and he's not a smoker.

It's not a taste I ever want to have in my mouth again.

That and not to mention I want a b/f who won't kick the bucket at 35 just because he did more smoking than a coal chimney than a smoke stack during the Industrial Revolution.....

Too vague a reference?

I have a couple of times but it never lasts....there are very strict "No Smoking" rules wherever I live - no exceptions allowed. People cannot smoke in my car. Whilst I prefer not be in the vicinity of smokers, sometimes this is not possible so I grudgingly bear it. Kissing the bottom of an ashtray first thing in the morning? No way.

One guy who got an invite to my house spent half the time on the patio satisfying his addiction to nicotine rather than satisfy my addictions! He did not last long!

I picked no, but there's an exception. I would date (and have) someone who was quitting.

Never.

Believe it or not, that's the first thing I check out about a person.

My parents smoked for years and I hated it. I'll never tolerate it.

I used to be a smoker, and I can't imagine how anyone ever kissed me. It's yough for me having friends that smoke...and the question is date, which means smoke-infused clothing in your home, even if the smoking is all done outside. As an ex-smoker I am sympathetic but no.

Sorry, but I canNOT do it!

I will love you to pieces from afar; but if you are a smoker, I canNOT have you to kiss and think of the long term theory........

If you are a smoker, chances are you will NOT live too long for you will most likely die of lung disease/heart disease as a result!

The American Heart Association has stats on being a smoker/non-smoker and the probability of dieing even after quitting!

........and, if I wanted to suck on a chimney, I would go out and do it and not kiss a smoker!(*8*) (*8*)

I've been a smoker for some years before I quit 2 years ago. My boyfriend is a smoker, so no problem there. Just one thing: he will not smoke at home with me in the room. ;)

This is what I don't understand:

There are these queens that will bitch and moan about being lonely and unloved, but as soon as a cloud of smoke passes their way they turn away? If the foolish ones that believe in love, as a real thing mind you, and all that shit, really believe in it, does smoke really matter?

for those that argue: But I want to love him past 35 before he kicks the bucket, I say, listen mary, good things come in small packages. "love", or whatever, for the time being, stop forcibly extending your life.

Not really an option to choose 'Yes and i would again' as my hubby is a smoker. We have a deal though: no smoking in the condo. If we get a house AND have a garage, then, we'll re-open the deal. I stopped smoking about years ago. He understands that I chose to stop smoking and I do not have to 'submit' myself to his choices. It's been working out OK. He does profoundly hate our Canadian winters though (he's French)!

Difficult one - I just quit (a few weeks back) - so i can understand someone who does smoke - but i think i'd prefer a non-smoker. Still, if i loved him i'd accept it and him just try and help 'see the light'

Replace 'smoke' with 'uranium' and re-read your post.

If I want to taste cigarette butts I'll just cut out the middleman and lick an ashtray.

Wound never date a smoker. I hate the smell on clothes, in a house, on a car's upholstery...YUK!

Vile habit, why not just eat chunks of coal or pieces of dog doop while you are at it?

Stained teeth and fingers, stinky breath, flemmy cough, tumours. So not attractive!

Waiting for a smoker to get their fix before you can go anywhere. Having to interrupt every meal so they can go out and have a fag. The way they get all bitchy and twitchy when they need a fix....No thanks!

My ex dipped snuff, he was a cowboy from Montana. It was totally gross and I remember the first time I kissed him, I almost passed out. But I was in love.

I know that there are a lot of handsome, genuine, and quality men out there that smoke and I don't want to miss out meeting someone just because he has a bad habit. We all do.

Love trumps all.

Lol, looks like most of JUB wouldn't want to date me then! ^_^

And yes, being a smoker myself, obviously I would have no qualms about dating one (unless he didn't buy his own and just bummed mine, lol).

Hate smokers. They lie saying they will quit but never do. My ex thought he could hide from me but his breath gives him away....
