I can't believe all these deaths. Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon, David Carradine, Jeff Goldblum, Billy Mays, and Farrah Fawcett. I don't rmember ever having so many so close. And who would have that that Patrick Swayze, Elizabeth Taylor and Elizabeth Edwards would outlive them all?

I read about this earlier today and was quite sad. It seems like a funny thing to say about a TV pitchman, but I'll miss him. I can't tell you how many times I have dozed off watching TV only to be awakened by the loud announcement of, "BILLY MAYS HERE!"

He seemed to have a pretty good sense of humor about himself. I saw a new commercial with him recently where several members of a family each start to talk about how great the product being advertised is. They speak in a normal tone until Billy nudges them, then they switch into loud, enthusiastic Billy Mays style speech. Pretty funny.

First, I have to say I've never liked the guy, and have even said so on these forums.

But a few weeks ago I saw him being interviewed with a few other pitchmen on some silly show, and I actually liked him. Billy as himself. He seemed quite nice...

Because I thought he was majorly woofy and a very nice man, he didn't take himself too seriously, often making fun of himself in bloopers. I think he was a class act. I am very sad to see him go so young, his star was only just rising.
