Dontcha just love it?

That's a skimpy thread introduction, dontcha think?

It seems that Maddow is becoming more comedian and less commentator lately. Kinda makes me wonder if some of her staff has recently quit or been fired. But first: one more thing. I couldn’t help but notice how she gushed like a little girl in the presence of her guest from Michigan.

Opin, the thing I wanted to point out is that, some JUBbers' opinions notwithstanding, Rachel will not hesitate to pick at the flesh of a Democrat, too, if she has to. She's definitely not an official Democratic Party flunkie.

Okay. That's a reasonable observation. FWIW, I seem to recall that she was giving President Obama some rather consistent criticism not too long ago.

Ahahahahaha at the part around 5 mins in. Love her.

As a taxpayer, I would be quite pleased to know that my taxes were going to fund abortions. Much more pleased than them going to a lot of other things.

Just finished it. She's absolutely right, this is nothing more than stupid grandstanding in an attempt to stop abortions. Disgusting.

Maybe they want to represent their, you know, constituents?

Droid, Stupak is from Michigan, a most liberal state. His anti-abortion stance will likely cost him the election this coming fall.

No it won't. Johann, just because the state is 'liberal' doesn't mean they're required to, or indeed do, support abortion. Having lived in Michigan for four years, I can tell you that Stupak will have the full support of his constituents for his efforts.

As a big Maddow fan that has concerned me as well. She needs to leave that funny stuff to the master who is Jon Stewart.

I don't mind humor on the show, certainly we get our fill from Kent Jones, but I would hope she doesn't go over board with the sillies as she has been doing lately.

I think assuming that a majority of his liberal constituents are opposed to abortion is not a safe assumption to make. At least, not as opposed to it that they would condone his asinine actions.

Have you been to Michigan? Spent a lot of time interacting with citizens there? (liberals, moderates, and conservatives?)

If not, then you don't have the right to say a damn thing about what these people do and do not support because you do not know them. It is a safe assumption to say that his constituents oppose it, they support his actions, and his re-election prospects are not in question if he continues to push for his amendment.

You call them asinine because you don't agree with them. Its safe to say that the people he represents support what he's doing, and would call your criticism of him asinine.
