Racial slur as man calls Welsh woman "English"

Ethno-narratives are a life force that must be appeased carefully or the bad karma will shit all over your sofa--to begin with.
How grand to be English! A sort of precursor to America; A nation of nations, I mean.
How brave, admirable, to be Welsh. Why? I'm not sure, I 'll let the Welsh devagle that. Jimmy Page is Welsh, just to begin with.
How Irish to be Irish. Especially if he...well, you know.
How Scottish to be Scottish--much of our modern world comes out of these Celtic lands, don't forget.
How Manly to be Manx?? I don't know I just thought I'd say it.

If you're not one for history, just know to raise a glass anyway.

Texans don't have a whole lot in common with New Yorkers ...

I think Texans and New Yorkers have quite a lot in common - more so than those from other states might suspect. First of all, both have tremendous pride, brag a lot about their state, and both claim that bigness is a virtue. Also, Texans and New Yorkers get along with each other extremely well because of having these same appreciations. I moved from Texas to San Francisco, and most of my friends in SF were New Yorkers, and the New Yorkers would tell me that most of their friends were Texans. There was definitely a mutual appreciation going on.

As for the British-Welsh conflict -- they've had many more years to practice at not getting along - I think it is part of the way they amuse themselves. If you live in Great Britain, you have to do something!!
