I agree with what he said. I also think a big problem is how black men always have to play the "thug" character. I understand why it's such a popular fantasy, since a lot of those guys are homophobic. However, it's way too common and you rarely get to see another kind of black man. When I watch porn, I like to imagine myself with the models. Therefore, I get tired of the "thug" scenes very quickly, because I can't see myself with those kinds of guys. So, it's irritating when you want to see black guys, but can't find any other type. That's why I love sites like RandyBlue and NextDoorEbony, who portray black men in a non-stereotypical way.

the guy in the video pretty much states what i've been saying for eons. folks are like whatever, trying to overlook that point and whatever else. that's why i don't even bother anymore. i actually feel sorry for them especially when they try to be on some self righteous nonsense, ready to call other people bigots, ignorant and whatever when they're talking about themselves. i think it's sad how you have many gay people ready to tell other people to accept their ignorance BUT are ready to tell other people that they're wrong for being ignorant when it affects them directly when they talk about homosexuality.

It's just supply and demand. The overwhelming majority of gay porn customers want to see young, smooth, white guys. When a company breaks from that, they take a very real financial risk. If there were a significant number of people who wanted to see more non-whites, some studio would be there to reap the financial rewards.

tl:dr version: Stop watching shitty mainstream porn, it's almost always the same set roles for the same races with very little room for changing.

LOL! I think it really depends. A lot of asian guys look really young (especially east asians - Chinese, Japanese and Koreans) so even when they hit their 30's they still tend to look very young. I noticed this in eurasians as well, my cousin is half chinese and half british and she looks wayyyyyyyyy younger than her British boyfriend (same age). Maybe white guys age a lot faster? (Hope that doesn't sound racist).

Besides asians are very age centric - they really really care about one's age and they marry like SUPER early. As for middle eastern men - I think Lucas Entertainment had always been actively featuring jewish/ Isarael men in his porn. Granted a lot of them have light skin and light features so they can easily pass for your typical white guy. But same can be said for brazilians and south americans though. A lot of light skin cubans/ puerto ricans (for example Anthony Romero) can easily pass off as "white" as well.

That's exactly what's ironic about people coming in early to bitch or make snark about a particular topic coming up. Those topics go 10+ pages and the topics where everyone yawns and agrees don't go to page 2.

Sorry. Knee-jerk reaction on my part. I'm so used to seeing people gripe about these kinds of threads that I read your comment the wrong way.

Hopefully this one won't be too bad.

But you have to admit, people flock to these threads because things can get a bit crazy--and you actually learn some things here and there.

To my knowledge, there aren't porn producers taking surveys of gay men asking what they want to see. I get so sick of seeing the "thug" stereotype be so prevalent. Porn is a mirrored reflection of our society and what we desire. OK CUpid did a study of their users and their data showed how we're selective towards races when it comes to dating and hooking up. Mainstream porn is catering to consumer demand and fantasies. I don't watch a lot of mainstream porn anymore. I prefer the home-made clips of real world men with average bodies hooking up.

I watch both. With interracial porn, I would much rather see the black guy bottom if he's the one I'm focusing on. That's another thing that rarely happens.
