The antagonist of this video is depicted as a racist, and the person in question should be shot down for it, no doubt about it -- I'm all for witty retorts and sarcasm. But whatever gender or race the racist is, his "comical applause-invoking rebuke" of her actions should not have included the degradation of her gender and the pointless mentioning of her race.

So if someone, say a female, walks up to me and says something racist, does it give me the right to call her a bitch? Does it allow me to discriminate her? Her racist discrimination towards me legitimatizes my gender discrimination towards her?

Overcoming one form of discrimination with another form of discrimination is hypocrisy.

The video is funny. I found it funny because of the blatant hypocrisy... just the entire irony of it. He's angry with her racism, and yet he brought out his own discriminative behavior (quite the irony -- funny), to a point that he was so frustrated, he felt like carrying out the exact action the racist stereotyped him with earlier in the video (hilarious); and then out of the blue, he intimidated her with a her fearsome holler (he quite pissed that she didn't take him for a peaceful non-threatening very handsome black male -- had me on the floor, laughing).

I hope that's what you guys are laughing about. I really do hope that.

Trust me, I don't defend racism. I know what it feels like. I'm Indian, living in predominately East Asian society; and I have seen the "grabs purse for dear life" action when I entered a lift. I've even been kicked out of one by an old Chinese lady (quite embarrassing actually) -- but I will never be a sexist and call her a bitch; and I will never be a racist and call her a gook.

I was going to say the same thing---I notice women do the same thing when I am in the same situation---or if for some reason you make eye contact---like at the stop light in the second clip. I think it's more of the fact that he's a man not that he's black.

He's seeing the world through a lens which may or may not be true.
