KRXQ Sacramento Radio Hosts Encourage Violence Against Transgender Children

American talk radio, the May 28th segment of KRXQ 98.5 FM Sacramento's Rob, Arnie, & Dawn in the Morning radio talk show makes for a sickening half-hour of ugliness and cruelty. For once, the focus was not LGBT adults, but minors. The hosts, Rob Williams and Arnie States, devoted the segment in question to a vicious diatribe against transgender children, some as young as five, focusing in particular on the case of one Omaha family raising a gender dysphoric child, and their decision to support her transition from male to female.

Williams and States took turns referring to gender dysphoric children as "idiots" and "freaks," who were just out "for attention" and had "a mental disorder that just needs to somehow be gotten out of them," either by verbal abuse on the part of the parents, or even shock therapy.
"Allowing transgenders to exist, pretty soon it becomes normal to fall in love with the animals," they said.

For his part, States bragged that if his own son were to ever dare put on a pair of high heels, States would beat his son with one of his own shoes. He urged parents whose own little boys expressed a desire to wear a dress to verbally abuse and degrade them as a viable response. "Because you know what? Boys don't wear high heel shoes. And in my house, they definitely don't wear high heels.

"I'm going to go, 'You know what? You're a little idiot! You little dumbass!'" States sneered, adding later, "I look forward to when [the transgender children] go out into society and society beats them down. And they wind up in therapy."

Or dead.

Non-violence is very weak in the theoretical sense; it cannot defend itself. But it is most powerful in the action situation where people are using non-violence because they want desperately to bring about some change. Non-violence in action is a very potent force and it can't be stopped. The people who are struggling have the complete say-so. No man-made law, no human ruler, no army can destroy this. There is no way it can be destroyed... And so, if we have the capacity to endure, if we have the patience, things will change.
--Cesar Chavez

Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral questions of our time; the need for mankind to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to oppression and violence. Mankind must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love.
--Martin Luther King Jr.

I've seen too much hate to want to hate, myself, and every time I see it, I say to myself, hate is too great a burden to bear. Somehow we must be able to stand up against our most bitter opponents and say: "We shall match your capacity to inflict suffering by our capacity to endure suffering. We will meet your physical force with soul force. Do to us what you will and we will still love you.... But be assured that we'll wear you down by our capacity to suffer, and one day we will win our freedom. We will not only win freedom for ourselves; we will appeal to your heart and conscience that we will win you in the process, and our victory will be a double victory." --Martin Luther King Jr. (1929 - 1968), A Christmas Sermon for Peace on Dec 24, 1967

I am vehemently against the death penalty, but I'd be the first one to unleash the Guillotine on these guys.

How in the hell is this any less toxic and vile than RAPING children? This is, indeed, a form of rape. Rape by proxy.

And something which, it wouldn't surprise me in the least, may well lead to some "real" child rapes or perhaps even child MURDERS.

Why am I not hearing about this even from Keith Olbermann? I've heard NO mention whatsoever on mainstream TV.

It would be a surprising case of "strange bedfellows" indeed, if the only mainstream TV tirade against this egregious rubbish were to come from Bill O'Reilly on Fox News - and, even stranger, I can almost imagine him talking about it - but I don't watch him.

I'm so glad I live in a country where the police would be at the studio doors ready to drag their sorry asses off to jail before the broadcast was finished.

And, wouldn't this quality as hate speech, among other things? Don't we at LEAST protect the kids anymore?

Are you kidding? I'd be willing to bet that over 50% of JUBBERS would be defending their "free speech" and would be friends with them since "It would be boring to have friends who agreed on everything."

I'd be willing to bet that about 20% of jubbers agree with them.

Throw them off the air, fine them and the station, black list them in the industry, and perhaps even file criminal charges against them.

Y'see, this is why I keep coming to JUB. Startling things like, "wow, I agree with Jasun!" happen.

Hope Arnie's kid has a good hiding place for those pumps.

The thing that always strikes me in cases like this is that inability to see things from a viewpoint other than one's own. Because, honestly, count me among those who don't "get" transgendered. Not really, anyway. The idea of "being born a woman, but being a man", or vice versa, is an utterly foreign one to me. But just because I don't "get" it or understand it fully doesn't mean I think people who identify as transgendered are fucked in the head. I'm not in that position. And I assume the people who ARE in that position have a much better idea of what going on than I do. If they say "I was born a woman, but I feel like a man inside" (or vice versa), I can say "I have no idea what that's like, but I trust you know what you're talking about."

These two men should be thrown in jail for hate speech. That is fucking vile to wish harm against childre. I wouldn't mind these two getting waterboarded to fuck.

fucking disgusting motherfuckers, what a great cop out. their excuses are describing this as "dinner table talk," and claiming to reflect society's views rather than change them.

they then continue on to baww about the various reasons that they fail(ed) at life, how they're fucked in the head, and bitch about 9/11 like real 'merican children do. I stopped listening after that, but I think there should be a decent effort to ruin their show by various means since they're hateful whiny bitches.

UPDATE: Snapple, Sonic & Chipotle Pull Advertising From KRXQ

In the wake of KRXQ radio hosts Rob Williams and Arnie States not apologizing for their offensive comments against transgender children, individuals continue to take action and share their concerns with the station.

Business leaders have also become alarmed by last week’s defamatory radio segment and are distancing themselves from the shock jocks and their dehumanizing remarks. Individuals are utilizing social networking tools like Facebook to voice their concerns and alert companies of the harmful diatribe.

Bro, it has to do with the brain. Brains are different from individual to individual, just like skin is different.
These are people who can be happy and productive if allowed to be who they are or at least left alone by those beset by moral vertigo.

KRXQ--and any other similar broadcaster-- must be strongly encouraged to air educational programming by qualified experts on the relevant topic. The encouragement might be a threat of costly anti-defamation litigation.

I am a fan of the Rob, Arnie, and Dawn show, and the problem here is that many people mistook what they said, and they openly say that they will offend people. Here's what I said in another forum:

See that's the thing that people aren't getting. The Rob, Arnie, and Dawn show will not go anywhere. It has led the Sacramento and Reno radio market for 15 years now by a 3 to 1 margin over everything else, and it literally is keeping KRXQ going. This happened a few years ago when Entercom was sued by someone who sued a ton of different radio stations for on air indecency, and nothing changed from that. This is simply the transgendered people trying to get more attention to their cause, even though it's not even that big of a deal. So far the compromise I've heard is to have a transgendered person on the show as a guest when it comes back on. It is really the ultimate example of a group of people wanting to say "hey look at me" and bring more attention to what they're trying to fight, but what makes me mad is the way they go about it by demanding apologies and trying to advertise themselves on the show as part of the apology, making this whole thing a publicity stunt by them, and changing the words that were spoken around on their blogs and websites to make it sound so much worse than it really was. I listened to the original audio file, and I wasn't offended, despite being gay, in fact this whole thing makes me wish I wasn't gay because I'm ashamed of them and don't want to be labeled in the same whiny group as them. I will always support RAD because the show's dynamic is designed to allow this. Rob and Arnie attack different groups of people and Dawn brings in all of the compassion for them.

You should listen to the live broadcast that they're doing for transgendered people right now on http://www.robarnieanddawn.com/

I however posted that last statement originally before reading the broadcast, and I like their comparisons that they're creating right now and how they're doing their best to make this right. I still believe that they should be able to say anything that they want, and if you don't like it then you should get over it and turn off the radio, and for someone who has listened to the show for 10 years, I honestly know that Arnie was joking in his statements, even if it didn't sound like it. I still think that demonizing Rob and Arnie for this and forcing them to apologize is a step in the wrong direction for the movement though and it really turns people off from wanting to support it when everyone gets a red marker shoved in their face everytime they give their own opinions on something like this. There are so many better ways they could have gone about it. Either way, I'm glad they're doing the special show right now, because it is really enlightening to listen to. I will always be on the side of Rob, Arnie, and Dawn though, because the minority groups are beginning to control everything and only allow opinions that agree with them and to force everyone to apologize who has a different opinion than them. It makes me sometimes wish I wasn't gay when I see people like this who are trying to get equality in such a wrong way compared to how they could be doing it.
