Radio Sucks

Sounds like it's time for you to go with Public Radio. Most of those stations carry good drive time programming from National Public Radio: news and features.

Actually, I'm pretty fond of NPR and the local public radio station. I guess I'll be listening to that a lot more now that my CD player has gone kaput! Dammit. Of all things...
 
It's NPR, iPod or Sirius for me. I don't listen to the radio anymore. The music is shit. The talk is crap. And the commercials annoy the living daylights out of me.
 
.za radio also sucks - the big, formerly unbeatable national radio station 5fm has gone so soft it's not even funny, and the regional radio stations are so horrifically community minded and boxed in to their tiny little worlds that they are just horrendous.

We do not have a single station in the entire country which plays predominantly rock AT ALL.

Anyone out in SoCal, particularly San Diego, is fortunate enough to get FM94.9, which has the most phenomenal stream of classic and modern rock material which I have been able to experience. I was completely addicted to it for the week or so I was there last year.
