The words “gay” and “straight” when applied to professional hard-core porn stars are utterly ridiculous. IMO they are paid to perform on camera by getting their dicks hard and their rocks off for the amusement of paying customers.
The only time they are
really “gay” or “straight” is when they are living their private lives, determined by
all the same desires and drives that govern our own sexualities. But on camera? It’s the money, honey. I think it takes a special kind of person to do real, hard-core porn like the RS guys. Kudos to them.
This “str8 for pay” niche they are exploring isn’t a surprise; except that others have not monopolized it first. I know there have been a few to do it as a one-shot, like in ChiChi’s ‘Shifting Gears’ bi-adventure, but I imagine there may be a lot of women who fantasize about gettin’ with a gay guy; but I doubt they are fantasising about the RS guys.
This is where the RS guys may find it fails to
fully penetrate their target market; they sell their models to gay men as being macho-fuck-studs. But in my personal, first-hand experience, when a women gets smitten with her gay-friend, it isn’t because she is fantasising about fucking some uber-butch muscle-top; it is because she basically wants somebody she can trust and have fun with like a girlfriend, but who also has a penis. As fucked up as it may sound, I think the Str8-for-pay market would do better with girls being teamed with guys who are slightly femmy in their mannerisms and speech, and who have a
bit of gay-face.
At least, this is my suggestion if they really wanted to appeal to a female market (which has a huge potential audience, especially for this niche). Oh, and if they are appealing exclusively to a male-market, than, again, a “gay” guy who actually seems “gay” (ya, I’m stereotyping, but please remember that we’re talking about porn;
porn isn’t real) might also work better than another boring muscle-stud they can see in any other str8 porn.

PS: I’m not saying this won’t sell. I’m sure it will. But I don’t think the niche has yet been targeted efficiently enough to maximize its own impact and really generate the type of revenues that I believe yet remain untapped. Pun intended.
