Rand Paul Supporter stomps on back of head/neck of a woman outside a debate

Well, obviously she didn't have a gun on her... so restraining someone for fear of what they might do, sure I can give that one a pass... but even if she did have a gun on her, do you stomp her or do you remove the gun?

The man in question, Proffit I think his name is, should be brought up on charges. He went way overboard. The woman was already subdued and wasn't going anywhere. I'm glad another Paul supporter was next to him basically telling him to get his foot off of her, saying "No no no!"

Her story is that she fell, while heading towards Paul. That much isn't in dispute. But putting a foot to somebody a couple of times isn't restraint, but assault or harassment. If he simply fell on top of her and held her there, I'd go with the restraint being legitimate. That clearly isn't what he did. And I'm sorry, a wig isn't a disguise.

Mr. Proffit fucked up and he needs to pay for what he did. This could be considered harassment in that it's offensive touching, or simple assault depending on the extent of injury. And defending the indefensible doesn't reflect well on anybody. Being mistaken is OK. Once you know you're mistaken and continue down the same path anyway, that's just dumb.

At best Profitt badly overreacted.At worst,where I lean here he acted with callous disregard and was nothing but a thug or goon.No place in politics for this crap...he deserves to get the maximum sentence allowed on this.I don't have to be a fan of her politics to recognize she has a right to being safe and secure from physical harm,...no one has any standing to resort to bullying,brutal tactics in defense of their candidate especially when there is no evidence whatsoever she posed a physical danger to Rand at all despite what Profitt was excusing his thuggery on.
