Rand Rants on Tumblr Rules

On the way to the JUB, I ventured through Tumblr and saw that they have censored (temporarily) posts on my blog saying that while they do not breach community guidelines, they have determined they need to be labeled mature and excluded from mass viewing. This labeling limits my access to the pictures, most of which I post here. I'm not sure why I feel this censorship is so sad, so bad, so GOP, but I do. The following are examples of posts meant for Mature Viewing Only:

Well this tells me somebody or some group has gotten to them. It's all so depressing how we're slowly being turned into a right wing theocracy.

I do not know if they installed an AI gatekeeper to ID Mature etc posts or if they pay some people to review and give them a bounty for each that they find.

What irritated me further, was I specifically requested to be notified of any Label / Tag placed on a post in my activity log. None of these were reported to me. I just noticed that I was missing posts by looking at my Archive.

UPDATE: today everything is back to normal (from the few months I checked) and on comment or message ~ silence is golden and also a little frustrating.

There’s been a lot of people I follow on tumblr complaining about it lately. Content that is not sexual at all being censored and there page being shadow banned.
