Random X-Men question

I would cast uma thurman as Emma Frost imo...I wasnt too much of a fan of the first or second movies but i liked the third....mind you i am not a huge comic book reader so i have no clue how they ruined it
 
I think beyonce would have been great. She would have been both a strong goddess type and soft motherly type at the same time. Although, she's a bit too thick to be flying on a mere gust of wind.

Jada Pinkett Smith would have been an awesome punk/mohawk Storm.

Naomi Campbell would also do, although she's a bit skinny.


Colin Farrell or Tom Cruise would have been a decent Wolverine. They're almost short enough.

Gwyneth Paltrow would not be a good Emma Frost. She's far too frail. Uma Thurman is far too ugly. Kate Hudson would be much better.

Chuck Norris doesn't have the smallest fraction of intellect that comes with being a Q. He is a homophobic bitch and he can fuck himself.
 
You know what. Angela would have made a pretty decent Storm. But there are so many other black actresses who are just as capable of portraying her. . .not to mention YOUNGER. Sorry if I come off as salty, I don't find it offensive, just annoying. I get so sick of hearing her name when it comes to portraying a strong black female woman, as if she's the only actress capable of doing so.

Fit, yes...but she's too tiny and doesn't have a big, strong physique like Storm has. Storm's kind of a big beefy woman. Jada is SO NOT what Storm is. She'd be able to do Storm in terms of personality but the physique...no...just NO.
 
Yeah, but isn't the punk/mohawk Storm shorter in stature and much leaner than both the OG and contemporary Storms? Jada would be good just for the punk Storm.

If they'd do the punk future Storm, she'd be great in it. But since these movies aren't with the punk future Storm...;)

Punk storm is actually from the 80s, but I guess she could have been utilized in the films. They weren't exactly faithful to the books to begin with, lol. I mean, Betsy as a Magneto-worshipping Morlock!? That was simply blasphemous.

I agree completely, I've always thought the same thing. Wolverine's always been a particular annoyance of mine. A lot of talk but not really a lot of thought...

But I guess when it comes to a lot of teenage boys, having giant claws and destroying just about anything is pretty much all you need to keep their attention ](*,)

Oh I'm referring to the Storm from the future, shown in the cartoons for example.

If you're talking about the Storm with the punk HAIR (she wasn't punk herself but had a punk hairstyle) then I'd still say Jada wouldn't do her justice physically at all. The Storm from the future has a smaller build and Jada could pull her off but not this Storm.

I understood Wolverine's popularity. He was the tough guy to whom so many boys related. The badass, take no prisoners kind of guy that is generally marketed to men and boys. In addition, Wolverine's character had a mystery to him. In the beginning, there was not a lot of information about his past.

However, I was never really that interested in him personally. There were so many more X-Men with more diverse abilities. Also, I always thought he was just overrated; there are plenty of other mutants in the X-Men universe who could blink and they could kill him.

As far as Hugh Jackman, he's hot. What can you do?
 
i agree that halle berry wasnt the strongest storm. it definitely could have been cast better. halle didnt really have the push to command the role.
 
actually i think grace jones ... the woman from conan .. chick with a huge stick.. the model.. yeah her she would be a bad ass storm
 
Has anyone seen or remember Sanaa Lathan from the 1st Alien versus Predator film? I thought she would've made a good choice. Her character had a pretty demanding, strong, capable leader thing going on.

And as luck would have it she showed interest in playing Storm in X3 according to this interview:

Sanaa Lathan physically kinda resembles Storm a bit, however, overall speaking, she doesn't have that strong vibe necessary to play Storm more accurately.

As for the Rihanna thing...well...unless they plan to create a storyline where Storm is anoretic I don't see them actually choosing Rihanna.
