People use porn in different ways.
I think porn=exploitation is less true than it was 20 years ago esp. in the USA.
But I could be wrong.
This is another topic that someone could start; but, as for Jamie Stroud, although he is way more than nice to look at, I also enjoy him very much as a fellow human being.

Could he be hurting himself doing this?? That's possible. We should try to minimize that by allowing people a certain freedom of self-expression and encouraging that as a positive human value.

These posts are on balance insightful and quite welcome.

ladygrey, thanks so much for being caring, but I don't really believe in mental disorders, not in the traditional sense at least. I'm just Jamie, and you're just ladygrey, no need for labels.

I'm pretty sure my outcome in life has been due more to my religious upbringing than any biopsycho differences from others. Then again, my brother and sister turned out a lot more "normal" than me and they were raised with the same religion. Sometimes even when 2 people are dealt the same circumstances, they can perceive and respond to it in very different ways. Then again again, there were some unique events in my life they didn't experience which ended up having a dramatic effect on me. So it goes to show, it's difficult to know which plays the bigger role, nature or nurture, they work synergistically, but which is more attributable where?
