  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Rant: I am tired of seeing guys im intrested in...

I have a tattoo and I am not a criminal.

I love my tattoo of a dragon and I have

no regrets in getting inked. If you are so

against getting a tattoo then don't get one.

Freedom of expression, Live it Love it, and

stop being a spreader of hate.

I dislike sleeves, but I REALLY like, stuff like this:

full_body_tattoo.jpg

A: Have a kid at a young age
B: becoming a alcoholic Or a druggie or pot head or all 3
C: Fucking up your body with tattoos
D: Fucking up your life in general
E: All the above

I am no fan of tattoos but it is personal choice - you are right - there are other ways to express yourself, and these people have chosen to do so by body ink. So be it.

As for the above list... Hmmm. I am not sure either of A or C are necessarily bad things.

I have friends who had kids when they were really young (21) and they're very happy.

At work, there's a very senior, very experienced and very intelligent guy who is covered with tattoos... from days when he used to be a bikie. Hehehe.

Don't you think you may have overreacted?

I agree, what does it matter to you that he gets a tattoo or not. He can do what he pleases to his body. Stop taking it so personal for his own decision.

Edit: this is towards OP not Travis

I have both of my forearms covered with ink, and a tat on each upper arm too, slowly working towards two full sleeves. I don't see this as 'fucking up my body with tattoos'. This is an artform in and of itself, a way to express things that mean something to you.

For me personally it's tributism, everything on me is in a way a tribute to something I respect, or an imporatnt message I want to convey to others at all times, like the coexist tat on my right inner forearm.

Each to his own.

Yes, how very dare individuals we find attractive practice self expression we might find aesthetically distasteful. I mean, surely they exist to meet those standards and should be well aware of them?

I think they are fairly pointless, and as far as history goes, I think they probably should have stayed in the bronze age with trepanation, cranial binding, and all that crap.

But tattooing is clearly less extreme than those other things and I can't see myself ending a friendship over it. More like rolling my eyes and then getting over it, since it is not my arm or my back. It's not like my tattooed friend is going to tie me down and force one of those tribal-designs-of-the-week on me. Yeah, from the good old historical emo-hipster-look-at-me-tribe.

I want my sleeves to come from Savile Row. But de-friending someone?
