I kinda have a rash that's in between my balls and ass, as well around my anus. It's really really itchy at times, and I want to get rid of it asap. When I saw a doctor about it around half a year ago, he said it's nothing serious and I just need to let it heal/put some cream on it. I don't know what cream to put. I'm going to store right now and I need something that will allow it to heal/rid of the itchiness.

Look for one if the itch creams with hydrocortisone. If it does not help, ask the Dr for a prescription cream. Slashing it with rubbing alcohol my help the itching.

You most likely have jock ich, so get a anti-fungal cream and apply....(Tenactin or Lamasil) will do good, and or also a cream for anti ich w/cortazone in it...use for a good 2 weeks and it will clear up. Change underwear often

The other thing to do is to make sure that when you're done showering, you towel off until these areas are completely dry. If necessary, use a blow dryer on a cool setting to dry them well.

After the anti-fungal creams have done their thing and it's cleared up, you might want to try using baby powder or corn starch in the area to help keep it dry. These fungal overgrowths usually are related to these areas being moist which allows fungus to grow and feed off the surface layers of skin.

What is a jock itch? I don't think I have that. I'll use the anti-fungal cream for now. Should I apply anti-itch cream too at the same time? Or alternate?

I would tell MY doctor to advise what OTC medicine to buy, or, to prescribe a medicinally effective one. To leave you without guidance is inexcusable.

I really would rather not have to make a whole appointment for that though. There isn't just some creams that would for sure work and I wouldn't need a prescription?
