Re installing usbs. Two hard drives not recognized

^^^ I've dealt with my porn being in someone else's hands. I just stopped worrying about it. Chances are it's not something that person wants to see anyways.

As I said in the Hot topics thread, Im more concerned about the video captures which took a lot of time and energy.

I dont have money for this newest expense so its going on Visa until I do have the money to pay for it.
 
I removed my 160 Gb hard drive from Tivo.

I have looked in google but have not found how to make it usable with Windows 7, if it is. I have the sata / ide cables so connecting it isnt a problem

The drive is not recognised in disk management

Is this worth doing considering my recent hard drive problems?
 
I missed the editing time limit. I was adding that . . . .

Ive formatted in DOS but that was when I was erasing the c drive. I dont know how to format an external drive.

I know how to get to Dos through 'cmd'; or through start menu > accessories > right click> run as administrator (windows command processor)
