I like to think of myself as a tough guy. I don't go looking for arguements or fights with people, but if it happens I'm more than capable of defending myself. Little things don't scare me either so I'm always the brave one out of my group of friends, but tonight was way different.

We had just left this restaurant and were going to meet our other friends at this hookah bar. We stopped at this light when it turned red and when we were going to go when it turned green a car flew up beside of us and almost side swiped our car. So, my friend honked her horn at them and that's it. It's now several blocks later and what we didn't know is that the other car was following us.

When we got up to another red light the car she honked at rolled up next to us. It was two guys in the car much much bigger than she and I. They wanted to know why she honked at them and then started to argue with us. When we started to argue with them the guy in the drivers side of the car pulled out a gun and pointed it at us. Then the guy in the passenger's side started cursing off my friend and spitting on her a bunch of times.

There was nothing we could do because he had a gun pointed at us and in reality he was only like two or three yards from our faces. The guy just kept spitting on my friend and cursing at us while the other kept the gun pointed at us and telling us he was going to shoot my friend. Then when the light turned green they just flew off and left us there.

I'm just real messed up right now. It scared me. We didn't deserve to almost die because my friend honked her horn. People do that almost every day, that's what the horn is for. It hurt my pride as a man because I was brought up to protect women. Not that women are defenseless, just the whole respect and protect thing that any man usually does. I just couldn't do anything because if I did I was probably going to get shot. And having a gun pulled on me just doesn't sit well with me. I'm real messed up. We didn't do anything wrong.

I know I probably sound winey, but it really scared me and i'm really not ok. I feel worse for my friend because she was being spit on for like thirty seconds and that always makes a person feel worthless and dirty. Now I think it was my fault the whole thing happened because it was my idea to meet my friends after the restaurant.

It's your fault? The only way to avoid crazy people is to stay indoors for the rest of your life. If it didn't happen tonight it could've happened anywhere else.

Having a gun pointed at you ain't any kinda fun but be glad that you both came out unharmed, that's not always the case.

The truth about the road is that everyone thinks it's theirs. Sometimes it's best to ignore bad drivers, if anything, get their liscence and call 911.

Please tell me you called the cops and filed a report. These people are dangerous. And hun, your friend wouldn't have wanted you to die in order to keep her from getting spat on. You were outnumbered and they had a deadly weapon. You did all you could do.

Did you ever think that she feels guilty as well? She might be beating herself up for honking the horn. Perhaps she's obsessing over it. If not for that, then maybe the whole incident wouldn't have happened.

Some victims of crimes have a bad habit of blaming themselves. It's not your fault, it's not your friends fault. No, fault lies w/ the alleged perpetrators.

Are you okay now? Is someone there who can listen to you?

We didn't call the cops. We didn't think to look at license plates. So there's no reason to file if it's not going to go anywhere.

Can you describe the men and the vehicle? Were there any witnesses? You never know, maybe these idiots have done the same thing before. Even if you don't want to call the cops, I'd go ahead and write everything down that you remember about the incident. Just in case you need it for later.

Bless your heart!

Whiney? You just had a gun pulled on you. That's real. Pretty much any emotions you feel at this point are justified. As far as your pride goes, you have to try to let that one go. There wasn't anything more you could've done. The situation would've been totally different if there were no gun involved, but there was. At that point, pride loses its importance and the number one priority should be to make it home.

Well, I don't want to sound racist, but in terms of describing I'd only be able to get as far as two black men much larger than I. The car was a four door, red.

What am I supposed to report exactly? I'm sorry if I sound a little dense, but I just don't understand. No good description of the people or car. No one was injured or robbed. So, like... what would the point be?

in this day and age, there are plenty mental, rude people. it's better to safe than sorry if you value your or your friend life.

btw i see something common on the highway (and yes it pisses me off as well). someone cut off another, the other driver follows the car, speed up and get in front, slow down or break, then drive parallel and curse. it's best to just avoid.

B/c these same people, may have done the exact same thing to someone else, and the other victims might have more info than you. Or, these same men might have committed other crimes and the cops can't connect the threads. Even if you don't want to call the police, it's still good to right down what you remember in case you need it later. If you see these guys on the news, or recognize them somewhere, you can use your info. As time moves on, your memory will fade. It's better to write it down now, just in case.

I'd incl this type of info if you remember it:

Can you remember anything other than the fact they were black and bigger than you? What type of skin tone did they have--light/dark, did anyone have acne, a scar? Any tattoos or earings? Facial hair? Can you describe their clothes or voices? Estimate their height, weight, age? Document what they said exactly.

What type of gun did they have? What color was it? What size?

Describe the car and explain where it was in relation to your friends car. Describe the white car that almost side swiped you.

What road were you on? What types of things are around that area? Were there any witnesses. Is there a security camera near by that might have picked up the incident? What time of night was it? How long did the incident last?

By the way, although you weren't robbed or injured (thank GOD) you both faced aggravated assault. That's freaking scary!
