i also meant new orleans danny.
like CT, austin's danny was once hot, but now disgusts the hell out of me. mainly because of his gross personality.
austin's danny holds nothing to the new orleans hot-hot-hottie danny (ie, the gay one).

I KNOW! how did the Austin cast win, same with Danny/Melinda couple!?? they must have been voting for themselves all week. i think austin, denver & london were the worst seasons. any season from seattle to las vegas would have been better, those were my fav seasons. & Johnny!?! I was hoping Brad would win for hottest
. but it was f*in funny how Austin was taking it so seriously, like thanking their fans wtf!? look at coral & others who just threw the award in the pool. they act like they were winning an emmy lol.

I still think the best season was San Franscisco. Season 1 (New York) was good too, mostly because it was fresh and not so long (only 12 episodes).
After that, NO and Hawaii have to be my favorite. I love evil Justin

yeah, so i finally caught the awards show -
how austin won completely baffles me. wtf.
i could barely watch that season.
and - i mean, what about RW SF? even though i was a kid when it aired, the SF season made headlines. even president clinton commented on pedro's death.
it was really ground-breaking (more so than even the 1st and 2nd seasons), and i think it was the essence of what the RW project was supposed to be: real people dealing with a real living situation and real jobs (not some phony job that everyone does as a group).
and who can forget puck?
the show has now become this really artificial, paradise-hotel-like hook-up fest for good-looking, aimless twenty-somethings.
not that i mind that -
actually, i loved Vegas because it was the pinnacle of the new incarnation of the show - with LOTS of roommate fucking, a love triangle, trishelle getting knocked up or whatever, lots of jealousy, forks getting thrown, and of course FRANK. (he was a hottie back then, but he was so quiet that no one really took notice. plus he was boring and didn't make for interesting TV.)
but starting with San Diego or Austin up through Sydney (which I only caught 1 episode of), it's degenerated into just a glorified version of the things i saw in college - but distilled to include only the type of people that i didn't really like in college: there's the beefy jock frat boy (Sydney's Dunbar, San Diego's Brad, Austin's Danny, Key West's JohnnyBananas), and he always hooks up with the slutty hot girl in the house (San Diego Cameran, Austin's Melinda, Denver's Jenn, etc), lots of alcohol, lots of fighting, and of course - having everything spoon-fed to you:
they don't have to pay rent, they don't have to find jobs - they don't have to do a damn thing.
that's NOT the real world. that's just college, without classes.
they should re-brand the show as, "College, The Sequel."
and for the minorities on the show, they ALWAYS play to stereotypes: there's a black dude who gets into fights. and then, if there's a gay dude, he's hot and has a ton of sex.
nowadays, the RW/RR challenges are more interesting to me than the actual RW shows.

This awards ceremony was so depressing. All those older people clinging on to the last bits of notoriety before fading into reality TV oblivion forever.
And its sad that the show used to be about real, normal looking people living in a normal apartment. Not anymore. Now its all muscle-heads and skanky whores.

yeah i actually liked the vegas season too. i think it went downhill after that.
so not even frank? of all the guys, he seems to have aged the best. he's still chiseled and could totally book jobs with Sean Cody.
but i agree that alot of dudes went bad - eric nies (he needs to go back to jumping rope), san diego brad - whoa he was SO SO hot during his season, but nowadays, i barely notice him.
and CT is the best example of hot-gone-bad since it sort of happened before our eyes (on the challenges).
oh, and Seattle Nathan totally looks like Bob Barker now. he went downhill fast.
i had a thing for him and David on that season - the two military boys. and at first glance on the awards show, he looked like he aged OK, but then when they shot close-ups of him on the episode, he looked like a meth user. with graying hair.
i still remember, though, when janet from his season caught him with huge morning wood when he was laying in bed drunk with his girlfriend. she was like, "it was stiff and flat up against his stomach..."

Anyone remember when New Orleans Danny had a brief stint on Dawson's Creek? Unfortunately he was playing a straight guy i think. I wanted him to be someone for Jack cuz he always got screwed in the love department.

but when he went on the show, he went back into the closet and was "str8" for the cameras. i think he told irene in confidence, though, that he had dated guys and was possibly bi-sexual.
so i think there's more to it, and it seems that irene may have betrayed steven's trust.

i don't really think she betrayed anything. i think it was really bitchy the way she went about it, but let's be honest. she said what pretty much everybody was assuming anyway. i remember watching back then just waiting for him to bust out with the finger snapping, head rolling at any given moment.
