It looks like this season may be the most interesting in awhile. JD is cute, there is the whole weirdness with Ryan and Chet, and a tranny thrown in for good measure. I'm going to give it a chance.. we'll see how long it is before I get sick of everyone

Real World: Brooklyn

So, the premiere of the new RW was tonight. Internet was down, so I decided to watch. Wow, I thought this was the first interesting season in years. I dont think Ive really watched since Las Vegas (I <3 Frank and that season was amazing).

Heres my take on everyone so far...

Katelynn - The big shocker of the season. Katelynn is post-op transgendered (as of like 3 weeks before the show). Just about the only thing they could do on Real World that would be considered new and fresh. She seems like a pretty cool person, but seems like she still feels out of place. Huge props to her for being able to go through all of this on film. Cant wait to see how her story unfolds.

Scott - The "hot" guy of the shot. Scott is a model and is technically good looking, but seems also kinda boring. There doesnt seem to be anything to him aside from his looks.

Ryan - The real hot guy of the show . Probably my favorite cast mate. Really hot guy with an awesome personality. I couldnt believe that he was serving in Iraq under the infantry. Not even remotely close to the stereotypical army guy. He does seem slightly wierded out by the whole gay / transgendered thing, but considering his background, its just ignorance (he even says it is)

J.D. - The gay guy on the show. Hes hot, but seems way too serious. Hes the kind of person who would be stopping the drama instead of causing it

Devyn - boobs. Best part of the episode is when she said "oh I might have a crush on Scott" when she was drooling over him the whole day.

Baya - fun girl. Too nice to cause any drama

Sarah - plz be our source of drama. plz. I know you have it in you...


So overall, looks likes a good season. Hot guys? check. Interesting personalities? check. Different backgrounds? check. Drama? We'll see...

Thought it was interesting, I usually always watch the 1st episodes because no one is ever truly an asshole when they're introducing them for the 1st time.

Everyone seems pretty chill - except for Chet...hopefully he'll change his weird attitude later on.

Ryan's cute-ish but hopefully he won't be tagging along with Chet the whole season - I may grow to like him (seems like he may have an interesting story to himself).

From the promos I've seen, it makes the two of them look like the jerks of the this season. Chet is already pretty off-putting, but maybe there is still hope for Ryan.

Claiming to just be ignorant of things doesn't mean you have to be a sarcastic ass, show off in front of Chet and call Katelynn "it"...

I really didnt think that he was being sarcastic or trying to show off. He really just didnt know what pronoun to use.

But if she introduced herself as a she, carries herself as a female, & even referred to her as a girl prior to his talk with JD & Chet, at the very least I'd think Ryan would know which term to continue to refer to her as without showing off or being a dick.

It was an interesting episode, compared to the past couple of seasons. I like everyone so far but Chet seemed a little hypocritical. He doesn't wanna be judged for being Mormon/virgin but acted pretty funny towards Katelynn. He seems ok, though.

The only one that bothered me was Chet for saying homosexuality is a sin even though he's probably gay himself. Maybe I'll change my mind later.

Ryan was a bit annoying sticking his nose everywhere but he probably just doesn't know better so I can forgive him.

Caitlyn didn't bother me like I thought she would. Most transgendered people I've seen are bitchy, annoying, attentionwhores but she just seemed like a regular person.

Scott is the hottie of the season. I don't think you can write him off as boring from the first episode since it's the first episode with 8 people and the main story didn't really involve him since he didn't have a problem with JD or Caitlyn.

We know even less about Baya than we do Scott. I don't remember much about her. She just seemed like a regular nice person.They didn't show much about Devyn either other than her having big boobs and a crush on Scott.

i don't think he's lying, he suffers from severe sexual repression so basically i see all the signs so just by looking at him i could tell that he never had sex and was not doing anything sexual, sadly i look at him and just think he's so repressed that he dosent even have a clue about his idenity, let alone sexual identy

Out of everybody my least favorite was probably Ryan and Chet. Both were a little judgmental for my taste.

Chet is Mormon, but a total closet case, and I don't say that lightly. He joked about Scott being cute, which Ryan saw right through.
Ryan is somewhat odd. As soon as he walked in the house and started pointing out who was gay or "different" and being "curious" about them, I just got this vibe from him I always dislike in a person. It's like he seems to see himself as so much the norm that everyone else who isn't just like him is to be studied like some kind of..."it". He seems to have a heart, though. Odd thing is that he seems sort of OK with the gay thing, but is totally put off and confused by the transgendered thing. I had a feeling gay guys would love Ryan. He's straight, fairly tolerant of gays, decent looking in an average way, and has the kind of small town, somewhat ignorant mouth that seems to make certain gays all hot and bothered, even when it spews inflammatory things about them.

Will somebody please give muscle man Scott a personality? Ugh. There seems to be nothing there but good looks.

I thought that Scott would be the biggest homophobe being the gym head that he is lol but he seems cool about Kate.
The moment where JD was comforting Kate in the car was very moving.

one thing you have to realize is that "gym heads" are the most tolerant people I know. I took a personal training class to be certified a couple years back and I learned that these type of people while brass are real tolerant, they can care less about others genders because all their focus is on their self

I loved this first show so much. I liked the JD/ Katlyn talk in the car, the soldier and the Mormon singing songs in a boat. I think it is hysterical that the Mormon talks more about sex than anyone in the house all the while being a virgin. The guys are all great looking and the girl with the big boobs falling for the gym rat was a delicious bit because that body of his is super hot. I love JD or Jack Daniels as he told one of the cast.

The aftershow was revealing in that the Mormon is still a virgin buts admits having ejaculations while sleeping. Katlyn explaining the surgery was a heads up moment, and all the right questions from Brad and the other guests was right on. Brad still looks like stud candy. Paula's boobs are huge.

There seems to be something underlying with the soldier, his songs, his willingness (almost a need) to show his writings about his Iraq experiences.

Now it is time for the fireworks.

Now I cringed at the use of "IT" and I know Katlyn must have been cut like a knife when she heard it.

I just watched a rerun and I may just watch this season for the first time in four or five years.

No one seems like a total tool...yet.

I do like J.D. He seems like a very mature and caring guy.

Chet is so deep in denial he may drown. (Or else he's lieing like a rug.)

None of the girls seem like airheads, which is a big improvement.

Katelyn may be transgendered, but she had more balls than anyone in the house. Interesting to see what America's reaction to her will be.
