I know this is going to come across as a huge shock, but maybe not, I'm a somewhat huge fan of reality shows.
A show that used to be one of my favorites, but now I kinda have gotten bored and I'm done with it, is Survivor.
To where supposedly a bunch of average people go live secluded and stranded in a jungle, in a forest, in the woods, or on a beach or island with nothing but rice to eat and water to drink, whilst competing in physical challenges to which if you lose a challenge you run the risk of being voted out in a personal based vote by your peers. With the last one standing to have not been voted out winning a million dollar cash prize.
I say supposedly, because I don't know how much of this stuff is genuine, I really don't. You never know with these "reality shows".
Well Survivor had a cast member in a previous season to where there were rumors online of him being a transman or a female to male transgender person.
Me myself, I just took the rumors for face value. Yes I could see signs and signals that he was, but he never revealed it, and it never came out his mouth, so. For all intents and purposes he wasn't.
This current season is "allstars" or cast members that the audience loved so much they are returning for another season. One of the cast members is the guy who was rumored to be transgender.
In last nights episode, another cast member who is a gay man who is not transgender, outed him as being transgender and said he was being "deceitful" about it. He was then of course eliminated from the show by his peers after saying that of course.
Now the internet is going crazy and people are taking sides.
People are saying that was up to him for when and if he ever decides to not be stealth about his gender identity.
Other people are saying that we need to stop acting like SJW's and if someone is transgender, than we should have the right to know etc. etc. etc.
Some people like myself are playing devil's advocate. Yeah this is kinda fucked up and sad, but this is a "reality show" and these things don't just happen in most cases. There is publicity and agendas trying to be pulled.
I'm going to play devil's advocate.
I'm a gay black man.
I know if I went on a "reality show" and people called me "nigger" and "faggot" till the cows came home, I only have myself and myself only to blame for walking over that tightrope and going into that abyss.
If I went on this show and people said, "let's vote the gay black gay off", then I have to accept that and expect that. I can get upset and mad yes, but that's just the way it goes.
This is all for ratings and publicity, which may or may not paint me in a good fashion, and a conservative bigoted person voting me off because of that and those are the breaks and that's show business and entertainment and I have to live with it and not cry about it.
Just understand that was the limelight I chose to shine myself under and I have to face the music and the consequences.
Yeah I can complain and bitch and remove myself from the program etc, but that doesn't solve anything. There are still going to be tropes and vices like this implemented on "reality tv".
Now if this were real life and he was working for a homophobic bigoted company, I would hate for someone to out him and for him to be homeless based on something like this. Yes that is fucked up.
But it cannot really compare to this. He knew exactly what he was signing up for and expecting.
I do feel sorry for the guy I do, but if he truly respected who he was as a transgender male who doesn't want to be discriminated upon or shunned as such, he would have never walked down an avenue such as this Survivor mess. He went on this show for an agenda and to prove a point and that's fine. As I would most definitely do the same. And so would a rodeo cowboy do, and a buxom blonde beauty queen would do.
I really don't know how much of this is a publicity stunt or scripted or rehearsed or done to show an agenda, I really don't. That's the next thing.
I made a thread about a gay dating "reality show" show called "Finding Prince Charming", to where there was a house full of white gay men, and the sole black gay guy on the program was constantly bullied and picked on and shunned.
It got to the point to where the black guy of course started to talk shit and fight fire with fire and one of the white gay man spat on the black gay guys face.
It wasn't really talked about on the media. Well it was, but people were taking the white guys side saying the black guy was instigating it. Ugh.

My point is, with these "reality shows", that is just the price to pay sadly. You open the door for encounters like that sadly, and there is nothing you can do.
It's open season for the network to make fun of you and show a negative agenda on you to their tastes. All you can do is leave the program.
Sadly sometimes they even can't. They sign contracts that say you can't even fart in peace and you can't leave the show lol.
I'm just saying as terrible as this is, I have to play devil's advocate on this one.
I would like for you guys to discuss this and share your opinion as well.
