  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Really bad movies you love to watch

Serial Mom and Starship Troopers.

I think ST is soo bad but I love it.

And Serial Mom is just plain fun...

Add "Poseidon Adventure" and "Jaws" to that list ^ ..|

Jaws? That's a movie classic!

^^ I have Starship Troopers on DVD, actually the first one I ever bought. The shower scene is worth the crappy movie;)

But of course,

Rocky Horror Picture Show

The other night I found myself once again watching that very stupid movie "Cabin Boy" I don't know why I find that thing so funny.

Thannnnnnnk you! Ugh, finally someone gets it...

And Rocky Horror is not bad, it's dead on. :jab:

Strange Wilderness
Commando

too many more to list

Peter Bogdanovich's At Long Last Love with Burt Reynolds and Cybill Shepherd.

This movie is the reason musicals aren't recorded 'live':

Sweet Home Alabama

I've seen it like 20 times (mostly TV reruns) but every time it's on I end up putting it on in the background. I have no idea why, because it's a horribly cheesy romantic comedy, but I guess the familiarity of it makes me want to have it playing when there's nothing else on.

I'm a big fan of crappy Christian apocalypse movies. Two of my favorites:

Anyway, there are too many good films to watch. Stop wasting time on bad movies! Who consciously listens to bad music all day, knowing it's "bad"? Or reads "bad" books on purpose?

People with a sense of humor? ;)

edit: derrrrrrrrrr, yep, uh huh, word for word

Autumn Leaves
Johnny Guitar
Female on the Beach
Madam Sin
The Nanny
Bunny O'Hare
The Family Plot

Okay, The Poseidon Adventure was awful melodrama but cool f/x for 1972 and the orginal JAWS was, and still is, a classic sea adventure/horror movie.

I forgot to add Rosemary's Baby to my list. Ruth Gordon was amazing. Her bad acting was so perfect for the character Minnie Castevet, she actually won the best supporting Oscar that year for it.

Mia Farrow did a pretty good job considering she was in every scene. I read that Frank Sinatra broke up with her when she took that role. I guess even a fantasy about his girlfriend being raped by the devil was just too much.

Rosemary's Baby was one of the best movies from the 1960's. Ruth Gordon was perfect for her role of Minnie and deserved the Oscar.

Jaws (1975) was good also.

bad guilty movies

how could you all have missed the daddy-uncle of them all

SHOWGIRLS

leave your inhibitions at the door....

second the love for posidon adventure

the scene with shelly winters swimming with her granny panties.....therapy inducing

and that line, "see in the water I am a very skinny girl" pops up in conversation too often to count

Clue, I love it, and I find it funny, but from it was a total flop, and well, with all the different ending, it just is kind of a fail movie... I still <3 It though

Hausu (House) a Japanese expermental/horror film released in 1977... Dangerously Cheezy fare!

adrock, I can't believe you listed "Joyride". I loved that neat little thriller (plus I got to see Steve Zahn in the buff, another plus!).

For anyone with really long memories, check out Blackbeard. The title character is played by actor Robert Newton, in the hammiest performance I have ever seen. He chews so much scenery, it's amazing there were any sets left.
