  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Reasons you are happy being gay.

I have no idea if being gay makes me happier. I know I am happy about who I am, though! I do love my gay friends. But, I love my straight friends, too. I wouldn't trade either. BUT!!!! I would say I have a closer relationship with my gay friends than most of my straight friends have with their straight friends!

I'm also not afraid of sterotypes. I can use powertools and a sewing machine with equal talent! And I do so, frequently!

The sex is amazing and diverse. I can have my sexual partner in me or me in him! That's just incredible!

Oh, yeah! My partner and I can wear each other's clothes, so my wardrobe is twice as big as it would be if I was straight!

i can't say i'm happy being gay.....cause i am gay.:gogirl: it's not a choice. it's natural to feel odd at times for those just coming out and finding themselves or defining who they are.](*,) the fact that my friends accepted me for who i was is awsome. one is the stereotypical gay guy....the other is moderate, very personable in everything, and you have the "str8 acting"guy , i don't act, what you see is what you get. we've been friends for like eleven years.....crazy.:-)
BUT MY FRIENDS MADE MY LIFE TOLERABLE AND MY FAMILY CAME TO UNDERSTAND ME AND THE PEOPLE I HANG OUT WITH MAKES BEING AN OPEN GAY MAN WONDERFUL.
ohhh...and by the way i feel men in general are some of the most beautiful creatures on this world.
XXXOOO(*8*)

'cause guys are fucking hot!

lol

seriously, I like being gay, because its an important part of who I am and how I live. My friends and family love and support me because they too know its ok to be gay.

I'm not so much happy as I am content. It's who I am. If I changed, it would change a rather fundamental part of me, and I don't want that.

I admit, I kinda like that there's also much better eye candy for gays in my Students Union bar. Two boys that I could just drool over for hours.

I'm thankful for the fact that being a minority facing adversity probably made me more aware of others, empathetic, rational, and empowered. I think if I was never faced with a situation where I would have to get uncomfortable and stand up for what I thought was right, I'd be a different person. I probably wouldn't have developed such a good sense of humor either.

I'm also glad that already being outside of social contrictions for sexuality, I don't have to adhere (or at least have an easier time disassociating from) social constraints that many straight men feel compelled to adhere to. Things like not being openly 'close' with other guys for fear of looking gay, not being emotive, not being physically touchy-feely, not being 'artistic' or campy, etc. etc. I can just be anything that I am.

1 - I'm happy that i discovered my own sexual orientation and i'm not wondering about what if... and happy of not having to do things that i don't want to just for apparence or people saying things, like marry a woman for example.

2 - I think that when in a couple the 2 individuals are same sex relationship is much more equitative in terms of daily activities.

3 - I don't have to wait for ages when he goes to the restroom like most women usually do -joking-.

4 - We can do more things together like playing raw sports or wrestle i mean any kind of horseplay, of course this can be done with a girl too, but the kind of girls that i would like as a girlfriend (if i were straight) is delicate ones so i think there's no much chances.

5 - I like to have a guy around, to me feels much more comfortable.

6 - No need to worry about babies after or while having sex.

7 - To me kissing an attractive guy is incredibly hot!.

8 - No need to tolerate all day long a person with PMS every month.

That's all that i can think of now

Everything I've read so far is a great reason for being happy I'm gay. I have one more to add. After thirty years of sitcoms wringing all the humor out of fear of vasectomies, I'm overjoyed that I never, ever, EVER need to have one, for any reason. (!)

1. we have more fun in a relationship then a straight couple. I seen dozens of miserable straight couples

2. We can check out the guys in the locker room well anywhere and they wont even know maybe they will

3.we wont have the same stereotypical relationship everyone expects us to have.

4. I can go in the restroom at the sametime with a guy i like and have nothing to worry about.

5. Dont have to worry about making anyone preg.

6. (I stole this from robert) I can't be drafted (OK, for some people that's a drawback, but it gives me the most amazing sense of relief)

7. Being gay made me look at things in a very very diffrent way

But there are times i am not happy with being gay. Reasons are

1. A women is much easier to find then a gay man.
2. Theres a women for everyone And this is serious if u see some of the guys out there then u would say the samething.

3. U dont have to worry about closets

4. Females will accept things then guys will

5.I dont want to turn femme

Not if you know where to look.

2. Theres a women for everyone And this is serious if u see some of the guys out there then u would say the samething.

No idea what you mean.

3. U dont have to worry about closets

you don't if you're out and don't care, either.
4. Females will accept things then guys will

Don't agree. I know maybe one or two women into rimming.. I know 1 or two men who aren't.

5.I dont want to turn femme

So don't. It's not a disease.

I thought about it and here is my answer. First of all I have lived in both worlds, had a boyfriend when I was a teen and after that I dated women and eventually shacked up with one and had kids. To be completely honest I cannot explain why, I have yet to really figure it out. At 38 I got divorced and came out of the closet.

When I look back on my life and all my relationships (mostly with women and 2 with men) I can now see the happiest ones, were the ones with men. There just seems to be a special bond between men, I am truly starting to believe that men and women are not made to live together. Of all the hetero couples I know, there are a very few that are truly happy. I have had to chuckle at some of the answers in those threads about " If you could become straight would you?". Why? Because people tend to think if I am straight my life will suddenly become marvelous. Which is so not true. Life is what you make it.

I think the answer to happiness is, accepting who you are and living your life accordingly. I know for myself I am truly happier now that I have accepted, figured out, or whatever that I am gay.

So the answer to your question, reasons I am happy that I am gay.

I have finally accepted or come to the realization that I am gay!! And damn that makes me really happy!!!!

Cocks are just beautiful!!!

Men make better Life partners!!!

OK and I do not have to deal with PMS anymore. (belive me that in itself is a reason to become gay) No offense meant towards our female JUB members.

Hope that makes sense.

For me what I like about being gay is that it totally different to what society expects of us we have more fun and most know how to have a good time since we on average usually have a shorter life span according to sats. we know that we have to make the most of the life we have. Then there is the sex as males we are driven to spread our seed around so it's kind of easy for us to get laid.

Where are the stats that say HOMOSEXUALS have a shorter life span? What journals, and or universities and medical groups have conducted and produced information substantiating what you have said?.

Where are the stats that say HOMOSEXUALS have more fun and know how to have good times - then who???????

These appear to be a series of GENERALIZATIONS who origins are????????
