So as the title implies, I recently came out to my parents. I came out as bi because technically thats what I am but I do prefer men. They were surprisingly composed and supportive of this news. I do think what made it easier to handle is that I told them I was bi and not gay. I found it amusing because I did leave hints that I prefer men and will never be with a woman again but I think they were relieved because in their minds, there is a chance I end up with a woman. I have never felt happier and more free then I do right now. I am 23 and this was one of the hardest things Ive ever had to do but Im very happy to have done it. Anyway, I just thought Id share and would love to help anyone that is trying to muster up the courage to have the talk.
