Red Wings vs Penquins for Stanley Cup

Is there any way for both teams to lose somehow so that nobody gets the Cup this year?

One team is my fav team's bitter rival, while the other team stuck it to my fav team in our only Cup Final appearance. So I can't in good conscience with anything good for either team.

Maybe another Spanish flu epidemic like in 1919...?
 
so the Pens get their one win, good for them, the Red Wings take the next two - and the Cup!

Your prediction cannot be right by the way. But mine can. And regardless, I do appreciate you and I know the feeling of seeing your team not win. It happens to us all. If th Pens win in 7... or the Wings in 5, 6, or 7, the good fight will have been fought and in the end our teams were still playing when everyone else was at home.

Monday night will be big - I have to get myself invited to a party somewhere or go to a bar

I can't say good luck because I wouldn't mean it, but I will be understanding of the feelings of my dear friend, as I said, I know how it feels - I haven't recovered from 1996 yet.
 
to me "a good game" = "my team wins"


all I can say is win or lose, I understand the feelings

and I will be gracious if my team wins as I hate being taunted when my team loses
 
I could give two shits about hockey, but I'm watching it right now in the second overtime...

I went downtown and watched the game on the big screen outside of the Hockeytown Cafe.

We were hoping the Wings would end it with this game. The downtown bars were packed. However, if they win it on another day with less overtime, that would give the town more time to party that day.
