Oh gosh! We were in the woods this summer walking by a creek where beavers had built a dam in the past. We saw 3 very, very young beavers. One was on the mother's back, but the other two swam right up to us and we petted them. So darn cute with those beady little eyes and a mouth that looked liked they were smiling at us. Mom didn't seem to mind us visiting with them. There was nothing threatening about their long, blunt claws but I know adults can do lots of damage with theirs. Did you know there is an international beaver day? Sometime in the spring, I think.
All this beaver talk is arousing Vannie.
