Regina Spektor

If she's the same chick that sang "The Call" for "Narnia" sound track then yeah her sound is unique...

This is the YouTube of that recording - magical...

Wow...I just did a search for Regina Spektor to see what the community here thinks about her (and I'm surprised she has gotten so little attention!) and I stumbled upon this video I hadn't seen before...Really great!!! I love the piano work and her voice of course!

I saw her last year in Cologne and she was perfect! I hope to see her live again soon.

By the way, one of her songs has been used for the campaign against Prop 8. you can see the ad here:

So I'm way late. I remember originally hearing "Fidelity" on MTV. I thought the video was weird, and it sounded to... bland. Fast forward 4 years later and I decided to give it a try. I remembered the song I didn't like, so I didn't listen to it for awhile. DAMN.

Why was I so stubborn? She creates beautiful music. Many of her songs just leave you wondering.

Here are a couple of my favorites with accompanying links.

I've been obsessed with them at one time or another.

And, I finally did give "Fidelity" a listen. I like and appreciate it now.

This "new" Regina Spektor actually first appeared on her 2002 album "Songs" as the album's closing track, but now as part of her new album "What We Saw From The Cheap Seats" she's re-recorded the track, as she's done with other songs on the album.

“All the Rowboats” is the lead single to Regina Spektor’s new LP, What We Saw From the Cheap Seats, due out May 29th via Sire/Warner Bros.

I really like her song 'Us' which was used in the opening scenes of (500) Days of Summer.

All the attention on this woman is WELL deserved. She's amazing.

Lovely that Fidelity was a success and kick started her profile.
