Time to reveal: I'm planning on being in San Antonio! I was awaiting word on a new job before saying anything ... and now that it's definite I can go ahead and think about travel plans.

So, put me down on da list as a thinking until I get my ass confirmed on a plane! :lol:

Just curious to know if there is a working itinerary for the weekend and what's going on what days. I'm looking into flight schedules and trying to decide when I can arrive and when I can leave. I'm also keeping the following in mind from centex's 1st post:

Well I think at lot of it has to do with our check in times at the Drury.

I was thinking that we could get the ball rolling by having a "meet and greet" at the Hotel Bar, say around 3 or 4 Saturday afternoon?

Is anyone planning on being in San Antonio Friday evening?

i think meeting up late in the afternoon is a great idea as it will give everyone an opportunity to get into town, get settled in their rooms and come down to meet one another.

i was thinking from there we could go and walk downtown and see some of the sights and make our way down to the riverwalk and have dinner around 7. whenever we're finished with dinner we can walk on over to the bonham and shake our collective booties.

sunday i say we meet up again around noon and from there we can go to wherever the group wants to go, be it six flags or seaworld. or we can break up into groups if there are various places people want to visit. that sort of thing...

I was thinking my timeline to be: arrive Saturday early afternoon, leave midday Monday. I have a good idea what my flight arrangements will be, I plan to book it in a week or so. I already booked the Drury (just in case - I can always cancel), I did not wanna miss out!

THANKS for the heads up on the info. The plans for Saturday sound great! I'm partial for Six Flags on Sunday but I'll be down for anything else. Having never been to SA it sounds very exciting! And I am LONG OVERDUE for a vacation!

I'm getting my booty ready for the shakin' :lol:
