I hope we can do it again relatively soon,but it was just so great to see you guys in person and whatever time we diid have I certainly treasure.Nothing shocked me more than to be on the dance floor having fun,I was so nervous.But with the encouragement of a bunch of people.....Joe King Jay,Gmoney,Elvin,Abs,centex I finally said "Fuck it,I'm gonna dance"!My sister's wedding is at the end of next month anyway,so might as well get the practice in!Though as the dance floor got crowded I established for myself some safety parameters so I wouldn't step on ayone's toes or knock them over!

Anyone who wasn't able to attend but wished they could be was certainly there in spirit.The sun may not have shined much in St. Louis last weekend,but we made our own sunshine and in our hearts it will never set.

It's kinda frustrating to see all my JUB friends having fun and I'm stuck here posting in poo threads.

Some of the posts in this thread and Matt's poem really touched my heart even though it's not directed at me -- showed me that true friends...showed me that true friends... oh damn -- I'm so used to posting shit and nonsense I can't express myself well enough and without tearing up. *sniff*

And it's so mind boggling to see online relationships begin played out in reality. It's...it's...so comforting... oh fuck... I can't do this. I hope, one day, I'm able to make such connections with you. Sex. << You see! I can't help it but to post utter rubbish. Sex. Cock. Ooompa Loompa.

Ram, babe, one thing the JUB meet taught me is this--I have far more potential as a gay man than I ever thought. It's a part of myself that once I opened the door to it I stepped out tentatively, then gained momentum, and then just coasted. I've been coasting for some time, being who I am, but not really living it. So two things this year have taught me there is far more potential in me than I ever thought. I found a great guy, and that ended, and I learned good lessons from it. Then I met these guys on here, and they showed me so much more about myself, and about the kind of men I want to surround myself with as friends.

But the only way that's going to happen is if I stop coasting.

I don't know if any if that made sense, but there it is.

I have to tell you that I don't know what I would do with myself if I had let my fear take over and not gone to this meet.

Everyone was so amazing. And I was really fortunate to sit next to Killjoke and Orion and thewiz and NineofClubs at dinner. They were all great in keeping my mind from racing back to being overcome by the fear.

I really enjoyed interacting with everyone. Even if it was just a brief "hello."

It is just a testament to what this place is. And I swear on my cat's life (all 9 of them) that I will never hesitate to show up and hang out with any one of you any time the opportunity arises.

And dammit next time I'm going to the club!

That's funny...I was thinking that next time I would not go the club...and would just convince everyone to stay together, visiting, laughing, and talking.
