I was recently was out this weekend with my boyfriend (1st one) of 7 months, and as we were talking and having drinks, he admits he gave up smoking for me, because he knows I don't like it. I didn't even know he smoked and he gave it up a month and a half ago. I honestly was takin' back. I've never had anyone quit something or give up something just because I don't like it. Is this a sign that he really loves me?

You've caused him to become a better man for you. He may be in love.

It shows that he's thinking long term, but talk to him. Unless he gives it up for himself there's a good chance he'll light up again anytime you piss him off.

One thing is certain, he likes you more than the cigarettes... :)

P.S. And it might be time to update your orientation. :D

Once you two get settled he'll most likely start smoking again...if he's not already doing it.

we talked that night, he's been using a patch, and said he wouldnt again. and i told him that if he ever wanted to again, i wouldnt mind. It has to be hard to give up something like that.

means he cares about you, wouldnt necessarily jump to the word "love" unless you are both already using it.

You experienced a real life moment from As Good As It Gets! That's totally awesome! Your relationship with your boyfriend sounds like it is off to a great start!
