Republican candidate says Autism & Dementia Are God's Punishments For Gays & Abortions

When you equate gay people hating anti-gay fundamentalist political alliances to fundamentalists trying to legislate against all gay people***, that's what you're doing.
***, passing legislation to deny people of the most fundamental American right (to vote), and passing legislation consigning entire groups of people to a guaranteed shorter life expectancy (which to me, can be considered a form of genocide)

True. Even worse, they're theocrats! No respect for freedom of conscience.
1. Turn on your TV.
2. Tune it to Fox Spews.
3. Live - IN YOUR LIVING ROOM! ! - The American Taliban!

No, hate is definitely not all equal. Hate of people who use their bigotry to enact injustice on others in society is not the same thing as hating a whole group of people because you prejudicially assign to all of them a proclivity to harm or immorality or crime or whatever other excuse, without regard for any evidence or reason. When you equate gay people hating anti-gay fundamentalist political alliances to fundamentalists trying to legislate against all gay people, that's what you're doing.

As I pointed out before this idiotic argument could have been used to say "The Nazis and Jews hated each other so no one was really more wrong."

The hate from people on this site toward Christians is horrible.

What hate? The hate driving us to say they should be exterminated? Or exiled to an island and wiped out? Or denied basic human freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution? That they shouldn't be able to donate blood? That they shouldn't be allowed to be teachers, parents, coaches or scout troop leaders? We say all of these things about Christians?

Because that's what right-wingers hiding behind their religion say about us.

You don't have a leg to stand on here.

No one hates anyone for being a Christian. Stop making stuff up.

There is some hate toward Christians on this site, mostly from atheists who are just mirror-image fundamentalists themselves. But Jack, you cry "Hate!" every time someone makes you feel criticized by association.

Some of the harshest words about Christians to be posted on this site have come from Christians -- Christians doing their job in calling other Christians to account, Christians rebuking others for taking the Lord's name in vain, which is exactly what they do when they devote their efforts to making a theocratic state or even to gaining (or holding on to) privileges based on religion.

So-called Christians do exactly what xbuzzerx says. Calling them on that is not hate, it is truth. So I call you, Jack, to recall what Jesus said about truth.

Well, the "you guys hate Christians, and it's the same!" bullcrap is Jack's only recourse if he wants to avoid admitting that his side would kill us all if they had the power to do it. he HAS to make use seem just as bad, or he will be forced to admit something he is incapable of admitting.

She is probably the only person on earth that would look better if she got hit by a bus!

You personally need to talk with a Christian -- a real Christian does not want you dead -- they want you to live forever.

Imagine Hamish McDonald, a Scotsman, sitting down with his Glasgow Morning Herald and seeing an article about how the "Brighton Sex Maniac Strikes Again". Hamish is shocked and declares that "No Scotsman would do such a thing". The next day he sits down to read his Glasgow Morning Herald again; and, this time, finds an article about an Aberdeen man whose brutal actions make the Brighton sex maniac seem almost gentlemanly. This fact shows that Hamish was wrong in his opinion but is he going to admit this? Not likely. This time he says, "No true Scotsman would do such a thing".

This woman isn't a real Christian and none of us are showing "hate for Christianity" by calling out a hateful hypocrite when we see one.

The difference is that in the case of "a real Christian" there's an objective reference to show what that is. It may not be an exceptionally well-organized source for establishing a clear definition, but it's there.
