Since 2005, CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington) has put together a report on the Most Corrupt Members of Congress every year. It's a crowded field, what with Rangel up on ethic charges and Vitter and his diapers, but one name did rise to the top:

Roy Blunt is a candidate in the Republican primary for the United States Senate in Missouri. For the last 14 years, Rep. Blunt has served in the U.S. House of Representatives in the state’s 7th congressional district. As a member of Congress, Rep. Blunt came under fire for a variety of issues including employing the same corrupt tactics that forced his mentor, former Texas Rep. Tom DeLay, to resign. Rep. Blunt’s ethical issues were documented in CREW’s 2006 report on the most corrupt members of Congress.

I am not defending any Democrats here on the list except for Maxine Waters. Maxine didn't do shit. It's the same smear campaign FOX undertook against Van Jones, ACORN, Shirley Sherrod, and now Maxine Waters. It's disgusting! FOX needs their public airways pulled from them as they are not a public interest corporation but a political action committee.
 
Geeez, those Republicans are a corrupt bunch. I'm glad they have no real power so they can't rape and destroy the country like they did during the Bush-Cheney debacle.

I'm not fond of Blunt or Carnnahan. Robin has a lot of baggage also.

Hmm... hard to tell if anyone's being sarcastic, in print. CB's so consistently down on Republicans, and often without ever looking at facts, it's even harder, here.

I figure since Beck is almost unanimously condemned, and since he mostly does baseless, irrational, emotion-based attacks, pointing out when people are sounding just like him, just from a different viewpoint, seemed like maybe it would wake some people up.
 
Nathan Deal (#4) just won the Republican Primary for Governor of Georgia...

I SUSPECT that he will WIN in November -- since he is running against a former Governor that got bogged down in a lot of meaningless bullshit during his tenure -- thereby not serving Georgia well...

I agree that the Maxine Waters charges are bogus.

As we can see, corruption isn't a D/R thing... it's a "good/bad" thing and we need to just weed out the bad ones and move on.

Pointing fingers isn't helping.

Yes Molten, it's a conspiracy! She's being framed! Since when does FOX News have anything to do with the Congressional Ethics Committee that's investigating her? By the way, just about every Democrat voted to cut ACORN's funding. And Van Jones and Sherrod were fired by the White House, not FOX News, your red herring.

Sadly, she's like a large number of old white people... seeing their cultural superiority called into question... seeing their majority fading... seeing themselves as not "legally better than" others... angry, bitter and desperate to keep their "place" in society cemented.

I'm not aware of any third party candidate running for senator in Missouri. It's going to be either Robin Carnahan or Roy Blunt. I think Robin has done a good job as Secretary of State and I'm voting for her. My congressman is Russ Carnahan and I'm voting for him too.
