Researcher still looking for the "gay cure"

Watch the personal attacks fellas.

I really do like the reference to X-men b/c I've always felt that the show had an illusion to the gay world. Especially with the idea of "curing" a non-disease and the outcast part just because people were different. However, I also agree that both the humans that wanted to rid the world of mutants and the mutants that thought they were superior were both wrong. Perhaps there is a middle road here as well.
 
Well we would have to make sure there are some breeders left to keep the species alive. But for the vast majority, I think we can help them become truly civilized by curing their heterosexuality. Imagine that... tons of gay guys and women all over the world... wars would be a thing of the past (right?!?!!), we would all live in nicely decorated homes and fuck like bunnies all day. That's great, isn't it? :D
 
I think it would be lovely if they found the trigger... then we could start our own breeding program and have gay parents raising gay children for a change. It doesn't only have to be straight children that are chosen.

Personally, I find any kind of eugenic program distasteful. Hey, let's breed out all of our inconsistencies! No more retarded children! No more deformed children! No more stupid children! No more brunet children! No more ethnic-looking children! Yay!

I don't think that even if such a thing were found that people other than scientists and farmers would be bothered with it on a very large scale. People aren't quite as cold as that. Or at least not all of them.

ummm...they guys really need to watch the movie Jurassic Park! I'm mean cause it's part of nature....a failsafe to control a species. They may think they've found a cure but nature will aways find a way!
 
The only thing remotely good that could come of this 'research' is forever burying the argument that sexuality is a choice.

Christ, maybe next they'll be looking for a cure for blacks.
 
Yeah, the Germans tried to cure Jews, gays, gypsys, mentally disabled and the like about 60 years ago.

Oh I don't know...I'm 1/2 German and sometimes I feel like "curing" the morons that call me flaming faggot or buttpirate or any other names they can come up with. I won't even shed a tear! :twisted:
 
I also like Robert~Marlene's comments.

Let's not forget that previous work by these same researchers, including Bailey, have added greatly to the body of work that supports a biological basis for sexual orientation, and for that, we should be thankful. Without that body of work, very few people would think of homosexual orientation as anything other than spiritual sickness or a deliberate, willful, conscious choice.
 
Sorry Robert and hotdog, but when the object of the research is to wipe us out... I'm not going to celebrate.

All I can hope for is that the "Anti-gay patch" they'll be giving to pregnant women will cause breast cancer and every cunt who'd consider it won't live to see her baby born.

I don't understand gay agression towards people who want to find "gay cure".
So much hatred, and because of what?
I'm leaving the question whether being gay is something you can change or not to science. Even if majority of scientists claimed it is something You can not change, people claiming otherwise should be allowed to do their researches - because perhaps the majority is wrong and their works may oneday lead to revealing the truth.
God, some of you are acting as the ones burning G. Bruno etc - one scientific claim seems good for me, so another one is evil and should be outlawed.
It would be nice if gays, being object of intolerance, would be more open-minded.
Many people suffer because they are gay anyway. Mostly because of intolerance of heteros and closeted gays, but also simply because gays are and will be a minority, moreover, an unrecognisable one, so finding love will always be harder this way. So wanting to change your orientation is nothing bad. It is more understandable than strange desire of so many women (and men) in this world to have blond hair.

who, by an astonishing coincidence, won elections and ruled the country with a great applause of population and almost no opposition. :rolleyes:

I don't hold ALL Germans to blame, but holding Hitler alone is even more wrong - his rules, his views were popular... and it's not like there still aren't people in Germany willing to vote on neo-nazis.

But that's exactly the point, we are a minority BUT we are still part of the human race who deserve everyone's ACCEPTANCE (not just tolerance, we're not an itch) despite being different. We're not a virus that needs removal.

Like one poster said, this stinks of eugenics, ruling out "less favored" traits. I'm all for removing debilitating diseases, not your orientation.
