Rev. Haggard is totally heterosexual!

Why is everyone ^ so bitchy here.
I know most, or at least lot's of jubbers are secure in there homosexualty.
But come on guys, give this guy a break. Truth be told I think most everyone that posted above hates this guy because he is a Christian.
Lot's of you were lucky enough to know your sexual identity when you were very young, well guys not everyone is like that.

Lot's of you have had a good laugh at the expense of this guy.... well he will probably never know about it cause I doubt he visits jub.

Could be that the guys posting on this particular thread have never stuggled with being gay. You guys should read some of the other forums on jub about guys that do exactly that. Many guys of various religions struggle with that isssue my friends.
I hate the ridicule I see here very often, we are supposed ask others to be tolerant of our life, yet very often we don't reciprocate. Of course not all gay guys are this way, but those that posted in this thread seem to be.
Of course I understand that lots of time we post in fun, trying to be clever, make a good one liner..... I guess that is part of the nature of this site.

I surely don't know if your guys are tolerant in your day to day lives about people struggling to balance their gay personality with their religious beliefs, or their commitment to their wives and children. Could be you all are.

Well, much more to say on this my friends, but I won't carry on.

best to you all.
tony

He cheats on his wife with a gay prostitute, while preaching gays are going to hell and doing everything he could to suppress homosexual rights. I went to a Christian school for 9 years were I heard all the songs and dances about the sin of homosexuality. He preached hatred for something he couldn't stand within himself and did whatever he could to hurt others that didn't hate themselves like him. I don't see how he deserves anything but contempt.

Very nice glo-unit..... You actually made my point.

Homosexual 'rights' are not the province of religion friend. Rights of a citizen are granted under the Constitutions of the various states and by the Constitution of the United States.
Religious freedom is granted under our Constitution glo..... if you want to make a change to current law then do so.
I don't see the need to castigate religious folk, however flawed they are to your way of thinking.
Now man, you went to a Christian school for 9 years. Surely you got more out of that education than just 'songs and dances about homosexuality'? What a waste of nine years man.
You write well.... unless you were born with the ability to write well you must have received some educational benefits from your nine years...

I know there is some Christian hatred but I never really took part of it, I do however hate when others use their religion to preach hate and try to get that hatred into law. Like when christians rally to remove any rights of equal legal marriage from gay couples and if you don't think it's needed just look at this thread:
http://justusboys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=141904 .

If you think I'm in any way want religion freedom outlawed, think again. Just look a some of my recent post, the last 2 threads I started were about christians who are helping gays and doing something good. We just see different things here you think people hate Haggard because he's Christian, I belive he's disliked so much because of his choices. He could have been something great he could have helped so many young gay men and women by preaching love and understanding, he didn't. He chose to be a hypocrite, he chose to hurt us all he could while getting fucked by a proustite while.

Because you brought it up yes I did learn a lot more from the school that just a song and dance about homosexuality, but that will always be a shadow on my time there. I will look back fondly at my time there however if it wasn't for the schools disgusting views on homosexuality maybe I would have learned to love myself a lot sooner for what I am. In your 1st post on this thread you ask how many had problems accepting their sexuality, well i did, and I never became a hypocritical bastard hurting other gays as much as I can while keeping a dirty little secret. Thats why I have such contempt for haggard.

Lastly, another thing I learned is how beautiful religion can be if used the way it was meant to be, to teach love and compassion and how to be a better person. I also learned how easily it can be poisoned and turned into something completely ugly and horrible, and I hate that. I hate how often something amazing and be turned disgusting by people who poison it. Hagard was one who helped poison it so I was happy at his downfall.

God damn that was long.

Would he please just take his Bible, shove it up his ass and go away? We don't want his type in the gay community.

Exactly!
What a pathetic asshole, and just think, there are people who will believe this shit. Can't wait till he gets caught with another dick up his ass.

Here is the latest missive in the 'divine transformation' of Reverend Haggard back into the fully functioning heterosexual he always was. His brief sojourn into the bowels of homosexual hell is over. All is 'Right' with his world once again! Praise the Lord and pass the collection plate! ..|

Evangelist's therapy fuels "gay debate"
(2007-02-09)
By Ed Stoddard

DALLAS (Reuters) - Reports that disgraced U.S. evangelical leader Ted Haggard, felled last year in a gay sex scandal, had gone "straight" after a few weeks of therapy may not have surprised conservative Christians who argue that sexual orientation is a choice.

But what did surprise some who also made the switch but took years to do so was the speed of the declared transformation.

In the eyes of many conservative U.S. Christians, homosexuality is a sinful lifestyle choice that can be reversed through prayer and counsel. Gay activists say they don't choose their sexual orientation and there is nothing sinful about it.

"The entire underpinning of America's anti-gay industry is that homosexuality is a choice and they can never move off of that position because if they do, everything crumbles around them," said Matt Foreman, executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.

"Haggard's people have to say it is a slip because to say otherwise is to admit that God creates gay people," he said.

Haggard, former senior pastor of the 14,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs, was a vocal opponent of gay marriage who resigned in November after a male prostitute went public with their sexual liaisons.
Haggard also resigned as president of the influential National Association of Evangelicals. He admitted to unspecified "sexual immorality" after his resignation.

After undergoing three weeks of therapy, Haggard emerged convinced that he was not gay, the Rev. Tim Ralph, one of the ex-preacher's spiritual overseers, was quoted as telling the Denver Post newspaper.

"He is completely heterosexual. That is something he discovered. It was the acting-out situations where things took place. It wasn't a constant thing," Ralph said.

Several of the more liberal Christian churches in the United States have few or no issues with homosexuality. Others such as the Episcopalians are sharply divided on the topic.

But many conservative evangelical Protestants stridently oppose homosexuality and have come out in force to vote for state bans on same-sex marriage.

Since they see homosexuality as a sinful choice, gays have -- in their view -- the option of electing a different path.

LONG PATH
Religiously motivated men who say they have made the journey from gay to straight say it is a long one.

"I do know that a three-week journey is not something reflected in my own life ... It took me three years to change my personal orientation," said Randy Thomas, executive vice president of Exodus International, which seeks to turn gays onto the "straight path" through Biblical inspiration.

Other religiously motivated activists who have taken the same route agreed it took years.

"I would say that a transition would take five to eight years -- I came out of a gay lifestyle and it was a long process," said Frank Worthen of New Hope Ministries outside San Francisco, which also is devoted to turning gay men straight.

James Dobson, chairman of the influential conservative advocacy group Focus on the Family which has strong evangelical ties, said shortly after Haggard's resignation that it could take a long time to "restore" him. "... this could take four or five years," he said on CNN's Larry King Live, explaining why he did not have time to be on Haggard's "restoration panel."

If the reports this week are true, Haggard "restored" himself in a fraction of that time.

You guys don't know nuttin.
I suppose you're not aware of a toggle switch deep inside each of our bootys which can be flipped either way.
I beleive him and I hope he beleives me when I say "Honestly I won't cum in your mouth".

One day, probably not long from now, he will log on to JUB ......
I will pray for your conversion ffwd so you made know the joy of living a life free from sucking on [strike]big beautiful, luscious mancocks[/strike] little peepees.

Praise the Lord,

[strike]Reverend Ted[/strike] Smelter44

As I've said about a number of "ex-gays" before Haggard, his family, his friends, and his spiritual gurus had better keep him on a short leash, or he'll be taking a walk on the wild side again. He's not cured; he's just ashamed.

If the conversion therapy people are correct and homosexuality is a choice and they are able to turn gay people straight, then doesn't it stand to reason that using their techniques it should be possible to make straight people gay? Or, do you think they'd argue that straight people would never do what gays do because it is dirty / gross / unnatural, etc., and so you can't turn a straight person gay, and thereby simply confirm the totally illogical basis for their whole conversion proposition?

BTW, on the central issue, Haggard is as 'totally heterosexual' as I am.

This will go down in the annals of history along with:
Read my lips, no new taxes.
Yes, but I didn't inhale.
I did not have sexual relations with that woman.
I am the great uniter.
I am the great decider.
When religious and political leaders lie so blatantly, who are we to beleive?.

It's really sad, he had all those psychotic anit-homosexual people listening to everything he said, he was in a position to maybe change some peoples minds and show them that gay/bi people aren't bad, but no, he chose to lie and say therapy has fixed him. Now all those freaks will think therapy can cure anyone. That really pisses me off.
