Reverse Evolution

I know evolution is a touchy subject for the religious amongst us, but a phenomena I personally believe is currently manifesting itself is even more scary (no matter your religious convictions) – reverse evolution.

The more I watch Fox News, E! Entertainment Channel and read comments on Youtube, I strongly believe that some people are seriously trying to reverse evolution and return to a simpler “primate” way of thinking.

I watch the E! Show “The Soup” every week and are surprised and dumbfounded every week about the levels people will go to in embarrassing themselves! It is truly like watching a car accident while it is happening.
People are dumbing down – to the level where even primates will pull the odd frown.

I watched a copy of the video of the gay guy being attacked in NYC recently after stumbling onto that story – what amazed me was the comments on some sites. I am not new to stupid online comments – in fact it seems some people lose about 100 IQ points as soon as they log on online ( if they had that much to start with).

Some try to insult and create reaction because they see the video is getting hits and in the process they might “get noticed”? I don’t understand... But the content (and spelling considering English is their first language) is astounding. Angry monkeys may throw faeces at each other, but we humans have learned to vocalise (I thought).

Some gems: “ I ENJOY WATCHIN THIS AS HE GETS HIS ASSED [sic] KICKED! I WILL PISSES [sic] ON HIS HEAD ALSO TO. YOU ARE ALL FAGITS [sic.. do i need to point this out further?] !!! “

“Maybe you all want gays as babys so stop this stupid complements”

“I get off wanking to this video and lol at you gay ppl as I have a gf” [really?]

Is it just me or is western youth going backward ito evolution at a breakneck speed? These people are going to reproduce...

Indeed. I never imagined so many spelling for a simple word like 'does'. 'Dose' is very popular. And when they run out of spellings, they stick an apostrophe in it. Just today, I saw it spelt "Doe's".

At the rate written English is transforming, I suspect it to be completely incomprehensible by 2015.

Maybe the Mayans were right after all.

Parents yes - but also the time we are living in. People are proud of raising little spoiled brats and are to useless to discipline anymore.

I think you have to take into consideration that most of those type of comments are from 12 year old asbo's. Who have little to no education and are probably exposed to more of the worlds cultures and differences via youtube etc.

I wouldn't waste your time worrying about comments like that it's not a greater sense of an all round social reality.

Please stop saying "reverse evolution," it's called devolution.

I've stopped caring about how fucked up the world is anymore, devolution could be happening, but the people on these shows are a very small population in the world.
