It'll never happen. He's been invited to pay a state visit, tea with the Queen, the works. Whatever the position of the Vatican within the UN, HMG obviously recognises him as a head of state.
 
Heads of state are not necessarily immune from criminal prosecution. He might still be able to come to the UK, but a lot of British government barristers are going to be able to buy new Bentleys with the amount of money that will be spent just to make sure.

He should probably stay out of Belgium altogether though.

Anyway, since I can't likely get the outcome I want (I'd like to see him taken down à la COPS) I hope he stays away. What kind of asshole hides pedophiles from the police?

This is an institution that has harbored child molesters for God knows how many centuries now, and has cloaked itself in this imaginary veil of religious immunity. As if God himself has granted a different set of standards for the holy men in the funny robes and hats; the same men that enjoy their boys young and deaf, the ones that literally can't speak for themselves.

And now, as all of the atrocities are finally coming to light they have the nerve to dismiss them as "petty gossip" and to blame, essentially, 'the messengers', calling out The New York Times as, "blasphemers against the church" and "fear-mongering infidels".

Listen.

If this was any other sort of business, say a public school or daycare center, the enterprise would have been shut down long ago, and there would be at least a hundred people in jail and facing charges.

But, because this is religion, we're supposed to "turn the other cheek", (which I suspect many of the priests have, in order to stop the cum from running onto the marble floors of the confessionals) and pretend it never happened. Lest we piss off the invisible man in the sky.

It's time for this insanity to stop.

But of course, it won't.

I hear many parts of Africa are the new "promised land". The Catholic Church marches on, atrocities be damned.

Except no.. it's not.. That's just another bullshit lie made up by Christians like "the founding fathers were all Christians." Marriage was always a business proposition between families. The young women were sold to men for property or money. God was injected into it only recently.

As for declaring war on the church. Civil war will begin in all countries. 1 Billion people are catholics. Not that all of them will fight. But enough will to cause civil unrest.

how about we do away with the "tax free" status of Churches who just spend that money on things like political contributions, protecting child rapists and supporting the Holocaust and with that money, WE open a homeless shelter where the people aren't force-fed the mental illness that is religion?

I've never wanted to get married in a Catholic Corporation-owned "church."

But you see.. THEY went out of their way to make sure I wouldn't be able to do it ANYWHERE including City Hall. It wasn't enough that they didn't want to do it themselves... they gave lots of money from the collection plate to make sure NOBODY could do it.

Because they're evil.

So don't act like you don't get it. You're defending child rapists and their friends. how's that working out for you?

Yes, they did. The Salvation Army also closed a soup kitchen in New York so they wouldn't have to pay for their gay employee's family health care.

So don't tell me anyone from those organizations gives a shit about the people they pretend to help.

There lies a presumption of guilt, masquerading as objective reasoning.

Never rely on the media for prejudice free judgements. For to do so might suggest that only gays are responsible for the AIDS epidemic. "The Guardian" excluded, of course.

Likewise, gay discussion boards, are hardly evidence of emotional maturity when matters of child abuse are up for grabs.

Professor Dawkins might well improve his grandstanding moments by turning his sights on Tony Blair, or George W. Bush. Or even all those school principals who were responsible for those teacherswho abused their charges. Or even try those in charge of orphanages who were silent when their staff were abusing the orphans charged to their care. What about the Secretary of State for Education? Surely they could be held responsible for all the child abuse in the schools system?

The list grows. So many guilty parties. And then to know that some 80 pct of child abuse is committed by the natural parents of the abused children. Where to start. The prisons are already bursting at the seams.

Professor Dawkins enjoys his moments in front of the cameras. Self elevation is not monopolised by religious leaders.
